We always hear about the music genres that people enjoy the most but it is rare we hear of the music genres people dislike and do not enjoy listening to.

I am a huge fan of music and enjoy listening to many different genres but heavy metal and heavy rock are two genres that I can't get behind and don't enjoy listening to. I find heavy metal and heavy rock to be more like noise and shouting than music.

What music genres do you dislike?

I cannot listen to opera. We’ve got someone in our group of friends that will legit try and get us to jam to it, but that’s a no from me.

Much like you, Shortie, I too can't stand either heavy metal or heavy rock. I understand it is a genre that some people do like and each to their own but I find it to be more noise than what I would class as music.

There are a few music genres I dislike, they are heavy rock and metal, country, rap

I can tolerate almost any other kind of music but these are the ones I tend to avoid if I can.

I have to agree, it sounds more like noise and shouting to me rather than anything else. As you say, each to their own but it's not a genre I would class as music.

Not a genre per say but the 2000's. Outside that I like just about everything, maybe not rap.

I produce music myself and should generally enjoy many genres of music but I find rock music very repulsive. Too much vibration with no real social consciousness in lyrics. I won't appreciate a gift to a rock music concert.
