The Official MSU vs ][V][ichigan Game Thread

That was classless on Dantonios part. Surprisingly I think Hoke let him know it when they shook hands. Absolutely not, Carr would not have scored in the waining seconds like that.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from.

But I've always loved Steve Spurrier's line about, "It's not my job to stop me."

They're taking out their frustration after years of disappointment.

Sparty can't even win with grace. Dirty play, targeting with shots to the head..... That is sparty football.

No they aren't. The players were 10 years old last time MSU faced years of disappointment. Danotio hasn't faced it either. He's 6-2 or something like that.

I am so tired of people saying Hoke is a good coach. He is NOT a good coach. OMG, shut up. He may be a likeable guy and from my area of Ohio but he is NOT A GOOD COACH.

I think he is done at Michigan. Even if he makes a bowl this year. I think it will be tough for them to squeak out three more wins this year. Wish he would have had more success. He is just inept. No sign that he knows what to do to address the problems on this team, or even acknowledge them. But really who can they get to replace him? People talk about getting one of the Harbaughs, but I just don't think that is realistic.

Doesn't mean they can't still be mad, even if they were only 10 at the time. I wouldn't be surprised if some little kid watching MSU get their ass kicked by UM for the upteenth time couldn't wait until he was older to get a chance to return the favor.

Or maybe they're just assholes drawn to MSU football's culture of assholery as promoted by Thug-in-Chief Dantonio (at least when it come to this game; I don't know if they're like this with other B1G teams).

Not to turn this into the coaching candidate thread, but...

Edit: moved response to new thread

About 70 of the 115-120 players on the Spartan rosters are not from the state of Michigan. Pretty unlikely they cared about MSU football when they were 10 years old.

Of the rest, there's no reason to think they were Spartan fans when they were 10.

Almost all kids who end up scholarship football players are treated as "exceptional" from a pretty young age; my guess is they start looking at college football quite differently from other kids, and think of it in terms of how college football might impact them directly one day.

And the olayers were in junior high with little brother comment made

They personally were not affected by it

Merely speculating, since I don't care enough about MSU football to wonder where anyone on the team originally came from.

Edit: I will say, however, that the "little brother" reference needs to die already. Since no one on the team was around when it happened, I wish the media would stop running with it every time this game is played.

Really? You have a short memory, Carr scored in the waning seconds up 42-7.

And what the Eff did you think was going to happen when your players ran to midfield before the game and threw a spear into the Spartan logo while talking mad smack to our players who were stretching? MD should have went for two after the late TD.
