And Glen Rice will still hold the record for tourney points when it all ends Monday ;) Edwards had a shot, but its a team game and they shit on themselves the final 13 sec of regulation.

Yep! The only better individual tourney performance I can remember that ended in a loss is when David Robinson put up 50 on us in '87.

Felt really bad for Edwards but I'm happy to see Rice will maintain his record.

This

He couldnt do it all. And he and his teammates missed crucial free throws down the stretch that would have put the game out of reach.

I won the first bracket pool I ever entered that year. I had 7 of the final 8 but only 1 of the final four. Thankfully it was uofm winning it all - I was surprised they didn't win the year before with Grant but knew they were still good enough even with the Flyin' Illini being unbelievable that year. It was my freshman year at MSU, so I definitely caught a fair amount of grief for taking uofm all the way. I did it for the money.
