Washington Post reports the Redskins are releasing Tim Hightower (coming off ACL surgey)

Should the Lions go after him? I say, why not...?

Only if Best is done. Otherwise whats the use of having so many RBs, most of them that won't get used.

Best??? C'mon, bro!! lol

And the reason you go after Hightower is because he's probably the best option available. We need the help. He's a veteran RB who can get the tough yards. They'd be stupid not to just even take a look at him at least. See if he's healthy....

He didnt look bad for the redskins in the preseason. But it appeared that Shannahan has finally got his offensive system in place there so its hard to judge because anyone can run in that system if they follow his rules.

I just am not sure if Hightower is fully recovered from his knee surgery. If he is I am Ok with it. He cant be worse than what we have.

I would really be shocked if Best ever plays again.

I agree. Says on my fantasy site he's ready to go. He's not even listed as hurt or anything. The Redskins just want to go younger and more explosive/faster.

Bring him in...see what he's got.

The skins cut him because the new guy this year Alfred Morris has been a beast so far. He fits what the scheme calls for and has really bought in. Also they have guys they drafted that they like better because they are younger, cheaper, and more explosive.

Coming off acl he probably doesn't have much to offer right now and we need someone weeks 1-2 while leshoure is in rehab. I'll take cb also, smith is trash.

3rd RB I'd take Hightower over Williams or Bell. Sign em up

Helu won that job and made hightower expendable???

If the injury os no longer a concern hed be a nice fit in our O. Screw Best lol.

Im warming up to LeShoure.....Smith & Co. for backups....

I still have very little hope for our run game. People are excited with the way Leshoure runs but the fact is he averaged 1 yard last week and 2.9 this week. for me it has very little to do with who is in the backfield and mroeso to do with how horrid our oline is at run blocking. Having a 5000 yd passer should mean our oline has the advantage in the run game...it hasnt played out that way.

As Schwartz pointed out...his best run was a 1yd gain...rather than a 3yd loss any other RB would have had...he makes the most out of what is there. Face it, our OL isnt much good(Except Reiff) in the running game, above average in pass protection. Were not getting anything better than LeShourse off the waivers

I dont think you'll find negative yard rushes in the Buffalo game from Mikel

LeShoure only had 1 carry for negative yardage against the Bills...he got stopped a few times for only a yard though.

the guy was sidestepping trouble on several runs...I think he is the starter without any questions

Leshoure is good enough to make people bite on play action.

Finally got to see Leshoure in action. I was impressed with his burst. He made a few guys miss and he has some power to boot. Definitely looks like he belongs...
