Tired of hearing about the crappy Chicago oline

All I hear about here on the radio or from any broadcasters is how bad Chicago's oline was on Monday night. Woody even said the "worst Oline performance on MNF" And in the full conversation nobody said anything about the Lions contributing to that. Also heard "nobody can question Jay's Toughness now, with the way his Oline is playing".

Again no mention of the Lions at all, so we didnt help with that at all. WTF.

So we won now because the Bears are that bad??

no we won because we're the better team.

but their OLINE is a complete train wreck , and they also don't have a WR that can stretch the field.

Bears have serious problems....it's all on Forte pretty much and he is going to see 8 in the box every Sunday from here on out.

Had the fortunately mobile Bears' QB Cutler not thrown so often while on the run, he likely would have been sacked at least twice as much as he had (3) ...so of course the media is going to mention how horridly the Bears' OL performed during the game.

Really don't care about the sports MSM placing the blame entirely upon the Bears crappy O-line, since the Lions D STILL has a little less than 3/4 of the season remaining, to demonstrate how good they really are vs O-lines that are far better than the Bears, and now that they have UN-Fairley gaining experience, the Lions D "should" become better and better as the season progresses, and barring injuries, they WILL become a force that CANNOT be ignored, not by the sports MSM or especially their remaining opponents.

bears bad o-line..no WR to stretch the field...sounds no different than last year to me..and they still won the division

Lions give up 4.8 yds per carry....come see me when they shore that up....DLINE has it's problems still.

28th in the NFL in passing in 2010

22nd in the NFL in rushing.

21st in the NFL in ppg

---------------------------------------------------------

9th best in NFL in ppg against

2nd best in Rushing yards against

9th in total defense.

the Bears didn't win with offense last year , they won with defense.

I don't give a shit about the bears (I just really like saying that :) ), but I also don't really care that the media harped more on the their terrible offensive line than our D-line. Detroit has probably gotten more coverage in 5 games than it has from 2000-2011 combined.

Wondering if the ypc average against this d-line is more a side effect of the "wide 9" alignment or could it be something else.

Screw 'em. They had most of their team intact from last years division winner. They had horrible wide receivers last as well as a bad oline. The difference with MNF, Lance Briggs got schooled. On the Pettigrew TD and the long Best run.

Seems like that is pretty much what I posted, that they "should" improve as the season progresses.

TB - 3.5 ypc

KC - 5.2 ypc

Min - 5.7 ypc

Dallas - 4.2 ypc

Chi - 4.9 ypc

been pretty bad since opening week.....

I always think trends like this will eventually come back to bite them in the ass but on the other hand we still seem to win games. Fortunately for us, other teams give up on the run too early.

haha nice for a change that it's not about being 1-4/0-5 at this point huh

The Bears O-Line (now minus Kreutz to boot) was a problem last year, talked about all of last year and still a problem for the team. Martz seems incapable of adjusting to the lack of protection and Cutler is getting killed.

I think the "MSM" gives the Lions defense a ton of credit -- Suh, et al get nothing but love.

I've noticed this too. Seems like coaches stop running at the lions for some reason. Especially the vikings, what the hell were they thinking.

If the 49ners get out to a lead, which I don't think they will unless gore goes off, I don't expect them to stop running. Not with harbaugh and gore. So better hope you don't come out slow.

if all we have to complain about is slow starts in the 1st half and the YPC avg given up by the defense things are going better than expected.
