TO the 1st down machine, is open for business

Please no pick-up TO threads

There's a reason no team went to his workout today

He might be able to contribute in a small way to team but who wants to put up with all the baggage that comes with him? Do they really want the media circus that would come along with him? The risk doesn't outweigh the reward...and that's why no one showed up today. We'll see in a few weeks after some more injuries pile up to see if someone gets desparate enough.

Lmao id get randy moss before TO. Imagine having moss and calvin in the redzone together. If moss still has anything left in the tank

No one would attend a personal work out for a 38 year old receiver. You can get tape of the workout.

I see no need for the Lions to sign TO. The only reason to get him is to keep him away from a team like the Bears, who is chasing us.

Just last season he had 72 catches, 983 yards, and 9 TDs, all while sharing the field with Ochocinco and missing two games.

I might not want him on the Lions but saying nobody wants him might be a bit premature.

He'd be more productive than burleson and Titus combined but no way in hell id want him on this team. We have enough negative media attention.

Honestly if it wasn't for the media I think teams would be chomping at the bit for the guy. He really hasn't done anything wrong or selfish since he left Philly. He's been a good teammate for the most part and relatively quiet but the things he did in his past will haunt him and his future team. Sucks because he was a great player and can probably still perform at a very high level given the tools to succeed.

I think he overall average is 68% of his catches go for 1st downs. Watching his press release he has the fell of just looking for a chance. Not gonna cost a lot but you know what you're getting.

He's great but I think I agree with the majority here..if you're the Lions you just stay away. He's not taking you to a superbowl so you may as well not rent him for a year and take the chance of him being a distraction for an extra win or 2.

He stays awy because we have receivers. But he's been fine regarding negative press. I think too many of you are thinking back to the SF-Philly days. That was a long time ago.

I don't think he can add anything to what we have. I think our top 3 receivers are capable; maybe it's gonna take more time to iron all the kinks out in the offense although the shitty OL play doesn't help. We have enough weapons to get the job done and groom Titus. It's better for continuity to stay with what we have rather than bring in a 37yr old and we have no idea when his wheels are gonna fall off.

T.O. > any Lions wr/TE not named Calvin even today. But you are right, T.O. has basically been a model citizen since Philly (as I said) but my point was the media makes him a bad guy/distraction everywhere he goes now. He was absolutely fine in Dallas and became a huge circus to almost no fault of his own. Dallas wouldn't have parted with him/ imo if not for all of the negative media.

I really could only see him going to a desperate team (e.g., Chicago or Oakland) or one with a veteran locker room who won't tolerate his antics (e.g., Baltimore or New England).

Thats the problem, you can't control it because more than half the time it's not his antics...it's media coverage. If he gets a hang nail it's a distraction to the team because a million reporters are in the locker room after the game asking "If your QB threw a tighter spiral and got you more involved do you think that hang nail would have never occurred?"
