All players at impact positions that could contribute immediately.
They need to get the #1 pick, trade back but inside the top 10 and add some picks. Oh...and have someone else in charge when making the picks!
FA is not the answer. They need to start adding good players through the draft or they will continue to suck.
If they get the #1 pick overall, they're staying there. Nobody is worth trading up for to get them. Who's the projected #1 overall? A DT?? Lol. Of course!! Is there a stud LT, a can't miss LT available at 1?? I don't think so. A QB? Hell no!! We're stuck again and if they reach at #1 for a Cook or "good" LT then they'll be in the same fkn boat they're always in..lol. We can never catch a break...ever.
Every year some QBs impress at the combine. There are some teams that are desperate for a QB. IF the Lions fall into that #1 overall pick we have to pray that a few other desperate teams fall in love with a QB. Bears, Browns and KC come to mind.
That said...you are right...it won't happen for the Lions!
And every year, teams that don't even need a QB will draft one. NE's still probably got another 3, 4 years from Brady and they still used a 2nd rounder on Jimmy G.
It's time to take one, and take one somewhat early. Don't use a 6th rounder. 2nd, 3rd round. The 2nd round picks don't pan out anyways, so what's the difference?
