Training camp is coming soon. That’s perhaps the best news in what is typically the slowest two weeks of the year on the NFL calendar.
The Detroit Lions report for camp in stages next month. The rookies report on Saturday, July 20th for their inaugural training camp at the team’s facilities in Allen Park. Three days later, on July 23rd, the rest of the Lions show up for the push to the preseason and then the regular season.
Here are the reporting dates for the training camps for all 32 teams, including different rookie and veteran schedule dates for most teams. Detroit opens the preseason in New York against the Giants on Thursday, August 8th. That will be the first of three preseason contests, and the Lions will head to New York for joint practices prior to the matchup.
