#Lions LB Stephen Tulloch's 5-year deal is worth $25 million ($11 million guaranteed), according to a source #NFL - Anwar Richardson's twitter

Damn......not gonna feel bad for the guy but that's a very team-friendly price.

He must have either really wanted to stay or got no serious bites. My guess is he truly is as high a character guy as he appears and just wanted a long term deal so he can start a family and focus on football.

I''m hoping the contract is front loaded, helping our cap in his last three years and assuring us that he isn't a cap cut.

i'm thinking he just wanted to stay. If it was a question of money, i think he would have signed a shorter contract.

there was and still is no market for those ILB guys...poor bastards.

good to see the lions keeping good players at respectable contracts...I guess the culture is changing around here.....kudos to MM

Its right about where I figured and what he's worth. MLB's usually don't make top dollar, and Tulloch isn't a great MLB. He is in the very good category, but not great or all-pro. 5-6mil is market value, just watch bet you Lofton gets less (my guess is he signs a 1 year deal because I doubt hes getting more then a 3 year 12mil deal or so). Tulloch was the best MLB on the market.

I thought the numbers would be a lot higher. I do think he loves it here though. He has been a huge with the boys and girls clubs in detroit and he has said many times how much he loves the fans here.

I cringed when I noticed that we signed him a couple of days after hearing the whole story of him wanting Jackson money. Very happy with the price tag on this contract!
