UM offers scholarship to 7th grader

Makes no sense to me at all either. So if the young kid says yes it means nothing. He could change his mind at any time the next 5 years. Even though he "took it in stride" just undo pressure on the young teenager.

yes, and there's also the possibility that this kid ends up being a MAC level backup kind of talent and then Harbaugh's in the position of wasting a scholarship and looking like a fool or rescinding the offer and making himself look like a slimy SEC coach. Lots of ways this could end badly for both the kid and Harbaugh/uofm/B1G.
