Anyone watch this? Great show, the first episode of the new series went in depth on the theft and corruption in Afghanistan, I know the stimated loss is around 100 billion, didn't know there were black market businesses selling all the stolen American machinery for scrap metal. They also toured a 300 million dollar power plant that doesn't produce any power and has to draw electricity from another country just to keep the lights on.

But hey, who cares if our tax dollars are stolen or end up as corporate welfare for contractors, we're wasting up tp $40 a week on food stamps for people making $11 hr.

what channel is it on?

I read about the series a while ago. It's produced by Vice magazine I think. there was a bit of controversy at vice over the fact that they were catering to advertisers more, and cleaning up the content in the magazine, but their excuse was that the advertising funded more original journalism.

I haven't seen the new vice, but whenever I could get a copy of the magazine (it's handed out free at indie record stores and bookstores, and hard to find) I would save it.

Hbo, produced by bill maher. They send reporters to the most remote and dangerous places in the world, examine problems that don't make headlines. Some episodes from last season

Traveling to north korea with rodman and filming a party with kju

Exposing Chicago's hospital system where the south and west hospitals don't take gunshot wounds so people die in the ambulance from Englewood to northwestern. I bet you don't get a lot of coverage on that from nbc5.

Its just great journalism.
