Victims of Gun Violence

good for this guy! I don't think any of the proposed gun control regulations I've read about would've prevented this guy from owning a gun, or defending himself here, so I'm not sure what your point is though.

That argument applies to most of the crimes too.

well, certainly there's a balancing test. I just don't see how making people wait another day (if that), limiting magazine capacity, funding background checks is really all that burdensome for current or prospective owners, given that it will reduce SOME violence and the severity of some attacks.

Then I don't see how your point is relative to the OP's anecdote. If you're not talking about infringing on people's right very much, and you're not talking about anything that would have a significant impact on our gun violence problem, and you're not talking about anything that would impact the gun owner in this story, then I don't see what your point is.

oh. so he wasn't posting this to take a side, he just likes news about people getting shot. I see. thanks for helping out.

I was just saying.

More a reference to the other thread, and how it pays to be prepared. It takes little more than courage. Now Detroit may call for more preparedness than Southern California, I don't really know.

That's not what I said. Maybe his side is pro-concealed carry licences. Pro-handgun. Pro-gun in general. The discussion isn't limited to whatever set of proposed rules apply in your mind.
