Wow...dunno about that, even 5th seems high, but then I've watched too many Lions seasons, since '70, only to yet again be the "Charlie Brown" having the Lions' "Lucy" pulling the SB or playoffs "football" away at the last minute and dashing my hopes....and as a result they have made me perma-pessimistic when they have a "promising" and so far winning season, but we'll see. If the Lions beat the @ Cowboys and then the Bears on MNF, then maybe, just maybe they might be onto something.

They could be putting them that high to bring down the amount of bets on them. I'm guessing they started with higher odds, and the more people saw them, more people were putting down bets.

So perhaps Vegas saw a lot of bets being placed on the Lions, so they lowered their odds to slow down the action and get people to bet other teams. To get a more even spread on teams.
