Vikings might be without key defensive starters

Harrison Smith and Chad Greenway not playing could be huge for the Lions. I think Greenway picks off Stafford every time we play the Vikings, which will be tricky to do on Sunday with a club on one hand, and multiple broken ribs. Harrison Smith left the Vikings facility with crutches and a boot on one foot, dealing with a sprained ankle. This article also states that Cordarelle Patterson is dealing with a hip issue, but should play Sunday. This Vikings team MIGHT be more banged up than the Lions, or at least have more impact players not playing.

The Lions should win this fuckin' game. No QB, no defense, no AP, no OL. But do they have a K?

We will tomorrow. Yeah, SHOULD win this one. Bell should get cleared and play this week, and we SHOULD have some success against the worst run defense in the league. SHOULD have success against the 2nd worst pass d in the league as well. If Stafford and Lombardi cant destroy this defense I'm pretty much done with both of them. Enough is enough, this offense needs to start rolling, with or without CJ.

I agree with this. No excuses. We're starting to get to the time of the season where just about EVERY team has injuries. Lions too.

Missing Megatron is a bigger deal than most injuries......but Minn is without Peterson......so that pretty much evens things out. Minnesotas running game is their strength, and we eat RB's for breakfast lunch and dinner. I think the Lions win this one easy....30-13.

Time for Stafford to get his head out of his ass, though.

CJ should be better next year when he has Devin Funchess split out wide. He's worth a mid 1st-round pick, more weapons.

There's no more excuses for Stafford whether or not he has Calvin in the game. They drafted another 1st rounder for him, and added a 2nd WR who is looking like a hell of a player.

Agreed. Weapons are useless with no time to throw though. I honestly thought we were set on the oline, silly me. I'm starting to think the Lions should be trading for somebody to take either Sims spot or take over at RT. Better qb protection is the only way this offense starts humming, especially with cj out.

Yeah the o-line has sucked, but he plays right into that with looking like a deer in headlights with Calvin and holding onto the ball for excessive amounts of time.

The Vikings aren't better than the Jets, whom Stafford beat without CJ.

He was there..even if it was as a decoy. It still took two guys with him when he was out there. Now granted Minny and their D blows but now they can double Tate.

Concerns:
1: No CJ
2. Lions "stout" run D was not that great vs Jets.
3. Bridgewater...playing or not???
4. Coaches are looking suspect at this point.
5. Stafford...seriously, stop with the excuses already...man up or leave.
