1 Damontre Moore DE
2 Barret Jones C/G
3 Khaseem Green OLB

looks alot like my november mock...which means we wont get any of these guys :D Im torn in the 3rd....a starting OLB like green would be a nice pick. A guy like Barner would be a nice change of pace back but his value has been all over the place and might be able to avail as late as the 5th. Youd also have to think if a part time back is better value in the 3rd than a starting OLB that will play every down for you on defense. I think at this point the Green pick would make more sense and look at a guy like Gillispe from FLA or Theo Riddick who has great hands for a rb since he was a converted WR in the later rounds. Elam in the 2nd is also one of my potential picks if MM decides to role with crayola for the rest of his life.

DE Moore
S ? any will help
Jones with the foot injury most likely he slides rather than climbs, and we love those type of players.

We need a RB with speed that can catch and pick up the blitz (ya who doesn't) and you usually can't find those guys later in the draft, so who knows at this point.

Can't see Barrett Jones falling that far; would be SWEET if he did

I'd love to see us drop back 5-8 spots and pick up another 2nd round draft pick. Ezekiel Ansah is an absolute freak and you lessen your risk of failing at another draft if you can hit on your two second round picks. Barrett Jones could slide to us in the second do to his foot injury, and get a hard hitting safety who's graded higher than Harrison Smith in Zeke Motta.

lots of round 1 projected guards this year....abnormal amount. he should be there early 2nd for sure with his medical issues.

Wait. Medical issues? And 2nd round? And you want the guy. I thought we had to steer clear of medical issues with the second pick because of Best and Broyles. Or does Mayhew have his injury crystal ball working for this draft?

I am not as worried about an OG with planter fasciitis in his foot as I would be if it were a RB or WR where they have to cut and drive off it. I would take him in a heartbeat if he were there in the 2nd. Solid kid on and off the field. Started at G, C, T for Bama.

its ok lkp lol. its not a wr with no knees or a olb with no spine. hell...a center with no arms would be better than crayola.

LMFAO. He's not going to drop with that medical issue. Just say no real medical issues next time and know he won't be around Round 2 for the Lions. Would you like a trade up hughes. Would you like the Lions to throw away mid round picks like you gave me with that terrible list that was actually trade backs?

But it is the same concept. You think Jones will drop because of medical issue. A good player in Broyles, dropped because of a medical issue and the Lions got a bargain. Only you will accept that this bargain because you had Jones on your little pre draft board whereas Broyles was off your radar before so it's unacceptable that time by Mayhew.

i thought it was a linsfranc (sp) fracture in the foot. not planters...but im not 100%. and its completely different situation. jones is a 3 time award winner at tackle guard and center. broyles is a 4th string WR. Jones is projected to go around there...which means theres value. broyles was not...which means we lost value. I never said i wanted to trade up and i never thought hed go in the first round. top of the 2nd is a good spot for him. If hes not there id grab a starting safety like elam

Are you drunk? Broyles broke the reception record. He was a stud at Oklahoma. Broyles could have been a 1st round pick if not for the injury.

Lisfranc is serious business. That's a huge medical red flag. Better take Jones off your board Hughes

you know when you break WR records in college?....is when you go for 4 years cause youre not good enough to come out after your junior year. Hes a decent slot wr that could help us if he can ever stay on the field. AT THE TIME that we drafted him he was never supposed to be anything more than a 4th string wr behind cj titus and nate. If you put more value on that than covering some of your glaring holes on defense than in my opinion you have your priorities jacked up. especially when you knew he was comming off a serious knee injury.

I don't think they're gonna get any prospect that they're "in love" with anyway. Lol I remember when they said management had the biggest hard-on for Jerod Mayo and NE used their billion picks to trade up and snag him...... and we promptly traded down and got, Goz............

Robinson, Hayward and Jenkins don't cover any glaring holes. The glaring hole was DE and they were expected to be good with Avril coming off two good pass rush seasons, Willie Young having a good seasons as a backup in 2011 and Lo Jack and KVB expected to be solid and an average vet at least. The DES crumbled, the secondary got hurt(Delmas, Spievey, Bentley, Houston missed 2, Lacey missed several, Florence was on temp IR) and they still only truly gave up 19 PPG as turnovers accounted for 9 extra TDs not on the defense and 10 extra field goals and specials teams an extra 4 TDS. That's 121 points.

Turnovers can be fixed. 7-8 less fumbles in 2013(mark that down) and 3-4 less picks. Easy fix even with bringing Stafford and the same RBs back and getting rid of Logan. I'd like Calvin and Pettigrew not to cough up 2 balls a piece either.

Forcing turnvoers, that's up to the new DEs and Suh/Fairley will do their part. QB with time will beat any secondary. QBs under pressure will make bad throws for easy picks. See 10 more ints in 2011 over 2012.

you dont think cb is a hole and you expected Avril and KVB to be good?! ok...now youve obviously lost your mind.

Cb is not a need. I heard Greenwood has been working out this whole time with 'the situation'. He'll have those abdomenals as strong as ever!

Avril was coming off two good pass rush years. I thought he would rush the passer like he did in 2010 and 2011. His performance dropped like a rock. Run defense was always bad but it got worse.

KVB was an average who made some vet plays. I knew he would hit the age cliff sometime and it happened to be this year.

Young fooled everybody.

Jackson is solid in run defense and he's a decent backup still.

man...you let a lot of guys fool you. Avril has been horseshit basically since hes been here. He had a good statistical year during his contract year due to strip sacks. Tackles adjuted and now simply toss him 15 yards up the field and out of the play. Hes always been a 3-4 guy.
