Wow!!!! Announced it just now!!!!

Get StartedWilliams is still coming IMO.
A little surprised, but there was some rumblings he was coming here in the last few days.
If no one transfers our from line is massive:
Swanigan 6-8, 265
Schilling 6-9, 250
Costello 6-9, 245
Davis 6-10, 230
Clark 6-6, 225
Would have been shocked last week, but the Cal group deal fell apart. He is really the perfect fit and complement to what we have on the team. He's a big man with excellent feet and quickness. Don't think he's a one and done, but he's closer to being pro ready than any big man we've brought in since Randolph.
I wonder if it would be in the cards to put Wollenman on academic scholarship as he is currently a 3.95 GPA student. Opening 1 more up would be gravy.
Wollenman is already a walk on, no scholarship. Goins is also a walk on. We have 13 players in scholarship next season though. I think 1 or 2 transfers is coming. Ellis and maybe Schilling.
So we're not better off without him?
I'm not trying to one up anyone. I've said all along i had written the guy off and would be happily surprised if he committed. I'm just having a little fun jabbing the flip-floppers who have been all over the spectrum on this kid as each rumor hits the internet particularly over the last week. It's harmless fun and they deserve it.
Id written him off also and most of the Spartan nation had. If I had my choice between Swanigan for 1 year or Willaims for 2 id take williams. Im not sure how this will play into his decision but the Detroit article says Williams "considers MSU at the top of his list". I believe he met with Izzo a few days ago also. Id really like to see LAngford commit but im really not expecting him to. This is good news after having poor recruiting (by our standards) the past few years.
I listened to Izzo's end of the season presser today and he said that he's gonna sit down with all the guys and talk over the next week. Said there were a few guys that he was gonna challenge if they really want to buy in and that it's possible we could lose a guy or 2.
I'm betting that Williams will sit tight for a few weeks to see how it shakes out.
IE "Ellis and Schilling ya might wanna buy a bus ticket out of east lansing if you know whats good for ya" :lmao:
I think Schilling might be one. He did mention earlier in the presser that he'd like to see Schilling find a "love" for the game.
