I googled it and kept getting different answers. My uncle (wvu fan) read my wvu trash talking last night and got upset. Starting saying that michigan hasn't done anything in 50yrs. That they couldn't beat an sec team or wvu.

I argued that michigan man handled the big east champ last year, that beat wvu. He just replied that he doesn't care. Then I had this conversation with him all with a smile just to piss him off more.

"All michigan has is that little denard running. What'd he have 200yrds?"

"Well 200yrds, that's pretty good I think" "how many yards rushing did wvu have a team?"

"I don't care their qb had over 400yrds passing"

"My qb won, did yours?"

Leaves the house lol

Also loved this part.

"Michigan hasn't won a title since 97'"

"Wvu hasn't won a title since ever"

Be happy you do not live here. The fans are horrible.

Just mention to him the last time the Mountaineers played the Wolverines WVU lost 130 - 0. 1904 I believe.

Also, you could mention that there are only two teams in FBS with winning records against every conference, one of course is Michigan and the other is USC. Look it up.

All time vs SEC Michigan is 20-6-1 however 11 of those games are against Vandy including 10 wins and the tie--take away the those games and its 10-6. In the Bowl Games Michigan is 7-4 vs SEC. Michigan and WV have played one time--in 1904. Michigan won that game 130-0....really.

How funny. This is the same score I beat WVU in Tecmo Bowl NCAA 2011.

He would just say he doesn't care and throw 1904 in my face.

I really want wvu and michigan to play in a bowl game

Doesn't sound like your Uncle is long and reasoning power. "I don't care" is not a well considered reply that contributes to a reasoned factual discussion. If the guy is leaving the house angry my recommendation is to refrain from arguing with him in the name of family peace. A little jab here and there would be okay though.

Just ask him at Thanksgiving if he remembers the Great UM-WVU beat down of 1904! Make it a light Hearted event

Well the guy is a dick half the time I see him. So these arguements are a way for me to say "go fuck yourself" without actually saying it and upsetting my mom lol.

And when he has no arguement all he can say is "I don't care" or "it doesn't matter". The sad thing is, its not just him. Its 90% of the fans. And they're just as bad with the steelers. They are still convinced that the packers didn't beat them in the superbowl. "They played like shit and gave it to them"

Steeler fans are amongst the worst... and their everywhere, too! No escaping them.

Stassen says we're 13 - 5 - 1 against the SEC, which includes the 7 - 4 bowl record. Also this info shows we've only played Vandy 4 times.

Maybe this is counting when teams weren't in the SEC or something but cfbdatawarehouse.com says that we're 20-6-1 vs. the SEC:

Hmmm, maybe Stassen is missing some data. Vandy was a charter member of the SEC which began in 1932, but Stassen has them in '22 & '23, so it's not as if he didn't count the pre-SEC games. Here's a site with this story (which is actually an SEC fan backing the Maize & Blue):

The Michigan - Vanderbilt Series

Being a Tennessee fan, I hate to help the Michigan / Big 10 case but you need to know the history. Michigan
