where were the safeties?

anybody watching at home able to see what the coverage was on some of those long passes? as best I could tell, we went man-to-man, and had the safeties up close in run-support. cover-2 or any sort of deep help seemed to be non-existent.

I guess they figured it was better to have Miller beat us with the pass, than it would be to allow them to run on us all day. Late in the game though... inexcusable. We basically just got lucky whenever he overthrew his receiver. But with Posey back, their passing game was a lot better than it was all year.

That last deep pass where he missed his WR by a couple yards... yikes. could've been a disaster.
 
Well, if the play was to force Miller to be us with the pass, it worked. But there were a couple of passes there that were "Oh shit" moments. I was really concerned that the second half Miller was going to make those passes. Countess was getting beat time and again.
 
Yep, watching it was like, "oh man oh man oh man, YES". Scary. And the defense kept playing it.
