Good to see Boesch down in the order, maybe this will get him to start hitting. I like the shakeup.

I do too, maybe Dirks will take a few walks now that he's 2nd, he's had semi-decent walk totals in the minors. Boesch sure didnt. Id honestly still like to see Avila 2nd, but Im not gonna argue much with giving Dirks a shot there.

I think Avila's poor speed on the bases will forever keep him from batting that high up in Jimmy Smoke's lineup. Laird pinch runs for Avila he is so slow on the bases, Boesch, although he doesn't steal many bases can score from 2nd on a single more easily than Avila can.

Boesch was my pick to have a break out year, I really hope he turns it around and moves back to the 2 spot. Porcello was my other pick and outside of 2 awful starts he's shown some good things.

I will say however that with a righty on the mound for Chicago and Porcello starting that Raburn should be sitting and Santiago should be at 2B today.

while he's slumping i still have no problems with him starting against LH pitching and in the OF, but he should never see 2B defensively and right now shouldnt be starting against RH pitching. we have enough roster flexibility right now to put him in spots to succeed to get him going and bench him otherwise.

It's like people don't know Raburn never hits much this early, but is one of our best hitters later on. Stupid to want him gone, benched maybe, but gone, no.
