Yahoo Mock Draft

I don't know that I would pass on jake Matthews or Justin gilbert for mike evans....we could...but id have to tell ya for sure post combine. I don't think hes that fast.....I think he beat guys deep typically due to manziels ability to extend the play.

It helps being 6'5" and 230 lbs too. He just outmuscles guys. reminds me of Vincent Jackson with a little less speed.

NFL.com's Gil Brandt believes Texas A&M redshirt sophomore WR Mike Evans is one of five players who should have stayed in school for an extra season.
"I can see why he didn't want to stay -- for one thing, he's losing a great quarterback to the draft --but I really believe that staying and improving his route-running and understanding of the passing game would've made him an even better player than he already is," Brandt writes. The four other prospects listed are USC's Dion Bailey, Wyoming's Brett Smith, Colorado's Paul Richardson, and FSU's James Wilder.

I think hes kind of an idiot for putting a rb on his list of guys that should stay....how could you possibly increase your value? Oh....g....hes really seeing the hole better this year. If you can run, cut and block...go pro....

Mock 1.0 is assigning need and player. Lot of things will change. I can see Evans possibly falling.

I agree. RBs need to roll early anyways. Shelf life is scarce on a RB and if you're good enough, see ya

To hone my inner Charles Barkley, this mock is turrible.... just turrible...

I went looking for some Mocks to kill time this afternoon. Pretty brutal all around, even with the so called experts. I think Clowney is probably a lock at 1...look for the Texans to possibly trade for Mallet.

That would be a bold move. We shall see what direction O'Brien wants to go and if he like any of his current QB's or any in the draft. I personally don't like Clowney all that much and everyone said Devin Taylor was a product of Clowney.... Yet we all saw how much Clowney's production dropped without him and I know he had injury problems but I feel great players produce no matter what. I think he is also better suited for played 4-3 end rather than 3-4.

I think Obrien is too smart to go to bed with one of those qbs and having the future of his head coaching job rely on the likes of whats available.

For sure every option he has in house is hott garbage. Cheeno may have something though because, like you said, I think O'Brien is smart enough to know the QB's in this draft are risky especially at #1 overall and may be looking to trade for someone like Mallet and keep that #1 pick.

whats interesting is its a #1 pick....typically I would think the HC has little input on a pick that important....especially since manziel went to school down the street from Houston. Im guessing the #1 pick was an important discussion during his interview process....cause if it were me....I definitely wouldn't want my fate tied to johnny, teddy or a qb from central florida. If I had to take 1 of the 3 itd be Bortles though....

Johnny football would fill the seats but for sure not worth #1. Maybe we will actually see a trade at the top this year.... I honestly like Teddy the best out of all the QB's. Sure he has his flaws but he is decently mobile, can throw from the pocket, and is pretty damn accurate at 71 comp%.
