Today's example of how Atheists are so awesome!

You either believe in science or you believe in invisible sky wizards. Agnostics are essentially believers in religions.

Prove that using logic and reason.

I?ve never observed you demonstrating either.

EDIT: Link.

Logic and reason are proven by those who cite science to back up their opinions. Those who believe in fairy tales cite works of fiction.

Whatever.

Have you ever seen me recite any religious text ever?

I linked to a scientific hypothesis that has zero to do with religion.

My guess is you didn?t even click on it.

You were probably thinking of another way to say ?wizard in the sky.?

You?ve gotten pretty boring pretty fast.

And, by the way - a lot of Democrats talk about God, all day long.

When they wanna get elected.

Again, you either believe in science or you don't. Claiming "we just don't know" means that you leave open the possibility of an invisible sky wizard being the creator of the universe.

You're right, I didn't click on it because I didn't see it. When I did, I wish I hadn't because it's nothing but a bunch of mumbo jumbo. Make your point yourself, don't post a link to something and act like you've just defended your position.

Right.

Like I?m going to take instructions on how I should or shouldn?t post on the board from the likes of you.

If you want to claim that a non-religious person who claims not be be an atheist believes in ?sky wizards,? knock yourself out.

Your arguments are like a six year old, you never express a single fact, and no one, left, right nor in middle should waste their time with you, like I just did.

Have you ever seen Johnny cite any scientific text? He?s not a believer in science, he?s an America hating fascist like MC.

This is pretty rich from the clown that thinks hurling insults and claiming to follow science without citing actual science is ?making a point?

It?s even funnier when you realize he believes a life giving compound that increased from .03% to .04% of earths atmosphere (.2% is considered a serious threat to plant life and thus all life on earth) is causing catastrophic climate change despite no evidence of it other than decades of failed predictions. And aren?t you the people who believe men can become women and women can become men? Aren?t you also the people who think children who don?t have fully formed brains can decide to have their healthy genitalia mutilated?

You?ve been presented with activism masquerading as science for the better part of your lives and you keep falling for it, beclowning yourselves by claiming to follow the science. It?s not science, it?s religion. You?re buying into the greatest religious scam of all time, hook, line and sinker.

Also, FYI science isn?t dominated by atheists. Many scientists are also people of faith.

Hilarious that you accuse me of "hurling insults" while hurling an insult.

Also funny that you decided to throw in some inane comment about climate change when it wasn't being discussed. But hey, keep on believing that you know more about the climate than the scientists who study it for a living. Doesn't matter if it's the climate, vaccinations, medicine in general or any other topic, you people know more than the experts.

But sure, science is activism and a fairy tale is reality. Funny how people like you scream about indoctrination while doing just that to your kids to ensure a belief in religion carries on.

Why is that funny? Your posts don?t merit anything more than scorn. at least I cite actual facts and science when I insult you. And just to be clear I?m not complaining about you insulting people. I doubt anyone is offended in any way by them. I only mention it to point out that you think insulting people rather than citing actual science is making a point or defending your position.

It?s not an inane comment, it?s evidence to debunk your claim that you?re all about the science. I?m not claiming to know more about the climate. I?m citing facts from actual scientists that debunk the climate religion you ascribe to. We don?t know more than the experts, we just prefer actual experts to activists and grifters like Al Gore who isn?t a scientist.

It?s your willful ignorance that leads to your blind faith in these modern religions and it?s your kids that are going to suffer for your ignorance.

You've not cited a single fact, just a bunch of static that makes no sense but does give me a crystal clear view of the level of conspiracy theory rot going on inside your head. Comments like "blind faith in modern religions" show just how far gone you really are.

But please, tell us all more about how god is real, climate change is a sinister plot by NASA to keep funding rolling in, how Ivermectin is a cure for Covid, how vaccines are implanting tracking chips, how Trump actually won the 2020 election and how Hillary ate kids in a pizza shop basement.

Anything I missed?

Yeah, you missed just about everything and you threw in some real doozies that nobody believes like the micro chips and pizzagarte. Well done.

The only person here that never uses any facts is you. You just ignore them and pretend like I never mentioned any. Is it not a fact that CO2 is a life giving compound necessary for survival and your religion is trying to pin ?anthropogenic catastrophic climate change? on a .01% rise in CO2 levels? I was off by an order of magnitude in my earlier post - CO2 concentration isn?t .4% it?s .04% of the atmosphere. Yeah, those are all facts. It?s also a fact that your climate religion bases credibility on the number of papers published. Somehow, someone who publishes 15 papers but gets 100% of their predictions wrong is more credible than the person who debunked all of it but only published a couple times. The quantity of published papers isn?t part of the scientific method.

Isn?t it also a fact that your team is pushing dangerous therapies and even mutilation of healthy genitalia based on the ?feelings? of kids whose brains aren?t even close to fully developed? Isn?t it a fact that almost 90% of those kids end up identifying as the sex they?re born to before they turn 18? And most of those kids (~60%) just come to the realization that they?re gay and just didn?t understand it because theirs brains weren?t fully developed. Yeah, those are all facts. It?s also a fact that suicide modality doesn?t go down for post op transitioners. Doesn?t it concern that the irreversible therapies your pushing are wrong for at least 3/4 of the people they?re pushing them on?

It?s also a fact that Ivermectin is an effective therapy for COVID and it?s also a fact that the MRNA vaccine doesn?t prevent infection or transmission of the virus. It?s also a fact that no serious person ever took the micro chip or pizza gate conspiracy theory seriously. You just need to pretend people believe them so you never have to make merit based arguments - because yours have no merit.

You come here to mock religion without stating a single fact and don?t even know you?re nothing more than a useful idiot for multiple cults.

Lets see if we can make this the day that you put down Twitter and Facebook and actually learn something from the people who know what they're talking about.

First lets tackle climate change. This is as good a place as any to start.....

https://climate.nasa.gov/

Then lets move onto your absurd claims about Ivermectin.....

https://www.covid19treatmentguideli... is not approved or,the treatment of COVID-19.

Pay close attention to this part..... studies suggest that achieving the plasma concentrations necessary for the antiviral efficacy detected in vitro would require administration of doses up to 100-fold higher than those approved for use in humans.

As for your hate filled ramblings about the trans community. We'll just let that stand as it's a perfect indicator to everyone reading just what kind of person you are. Really mind boggling that you claim to know where I stand on the issue considering I've not once commented on the subject.

When you're done here, maybe you could head over to the politics forum and share all that hard hitting evidence of voter fraud. :bs:

I'm not anti God... but id say at this point in my life I'm anti religion. More and more facts keep coming out proving "the word of god" is merely the word of some ancient human that either stole the story from another religion or was completely false in the first place. Just a bunch of fake names writing fake stories so you can become more obedient and give them more money. If that is what you follow then you follow a corrupt God.

I don't believe people who actually and initially wrote the books that are in the Bible believed they were all false. I believe they were recording actual events, or representing them in stories, depending on the book. But I also believe that scripture is divinely inspired.

Why would they do this? Why would people risk death for a known lie? Consider the actual process of recording scripture in the first century. Who would expend that brand of tedium unless what they wrote was true and important to document?

I already addressed this in the politics page where I thanked you for posting the NASA data that confirms exactly what I said about CO2 concentrations. I also linked a good book for you to read and a couple videos from a fairly entertaining Norwegian physicist that debunk your religion pretty thoroughly and effectively.

Another great job here - using the NIH paper based on outdated flawed studies. Here's a more recent study that says the opposite. If you prefer the NIH as a source, here's another. Pay close attention to this part...

"Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally."

My guess is it's the low cost that got them scared. Big pharma hates low cost meds almost as much as they hate actually curing disease rather than treating the symptoms. they much prefer the recurring revenue model.

This is such a weak tactic - accusing people who disagree with you of hatred and bigotry so you don't have to make merit based arguments. It's getting old and it's losing it's punch.

How about you show me the evidence - where have I expressed any hatred towards the trans community? Show me one quote from one of my posts. I have nothing but sympathy for the people who suffer from this delusion and I want nothing more than for them to get the help they need.

I've reserved my disdain for 1) the people mistreating them, especially the minors they're abusing and mutilating and 2) the anti-science folks who make outrageous claims and try to force everyone else to believe their nonsense taking opportunities and rights away from women in the process.

Standing up for the truth isn't hate, no matter how many times or how loudly you cry about it.

This thread is about invisible sky wizards so I'm going to refrain from talking about any other topics in here.

What has always cracked me up about religion is how people keep inventing new ones to fit their preferred narrative. Hinduism is the oldest religion still being practiced and it was around for 1,500 years before someone decided to write a new fairy tale about a dude named Jesus.

So how does that work, did all these different gods go around destroying and recreating the universe when the others weren't looking? :hmm:

You really think there was a Matthew mark Luke John Peter etc etc all running around the middle east 2000 years ago?

After seeing him, Jesus said, ?You are Simon the son of John; you shall be called Cephas, which means Peter.? so Jesus is quoted here saying the name Peter which is an English translation.... a language that wasn't even invented yet. Fuck man Jesus really was amazing.

Why did they steal stories from ancient Mesopotamia and plagerize them as their own?

Ill ask you the same question you asked me... think of the process of actually writing scripture back then. Why would people make up stories if they weren't true? If that's the case..Why did the church omit several parts of the Bible and burn them if the church decided they didn't like the message?

Maybe they used AI.

EDIT: Maybe they used a Cheat Code.

In spite of your intimidating tone, yes. Three of them were martyred. The very bones of Peter are buried in Rome.

After seeing him, Jesus said, ?You are Simon the son of John; you shall be called Cephas, which means Peter.? so Jesus is quoted here saying the name Peter which is an English translation.... a language that wasn't even invented yet. Jesus really was amazing.

Well, Jesus is God, after all, so I suppose you are correct. In context, Peter had just answered the question of Jesus, "who do you say that I am?"

Jesus saith to them: But whom do you say that I am?

16 Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it [Matthew 16:18] 19 And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.

Why did they steal stories from ancient Mesopotamia and plagerize them as their own?
If you are talking about Horus, that's a canard. And I'll remind you that the entire OT is as much about Jesus as the NT.

Ill ask you the same question you asked me... think of the process of actually writing scripture back then. Why would people make up stories if they weren't true? If that's the case..Why did the church omit several parts of the Bible and burn them if the church decided they didn't like the message?

This is a rudimentary account of the facts. The Church never "omitted" books from the Bible; it just didn't include them.
