Tigers vs. redsox ALCS Game 4 Thread

So why was one of our best hitters pulled? I'm sorry but with our piss poor bullpen, I dont trust any lead.

Kelly batting instead of peralta, miggy done for the night when there is a chance he could get up again yet again in the 8th...too soon for all this smoka joka

You don't take your best bats out of the lineup if there is any reasonable chance they could bat again unless it's a blowout

Very disappointed in the smoka man for getting inferior hitters at bats in such a critical series

Not that I have anything against Don Kelly, I like don freakin' Kelly he's mr baseball and a good guy

Yea I guess I'll voice my opinion now too that I don't like the subs this early as well. Hope it doesn't bite us.

Disagree somewhat. when he pulled Peralta we had a 7 run lead with 9 outs to go. that's fine, it was not a close game and the idea is to protect a lead, Kelly does that about 200% better than Peralta in LF.

And now 6 outs to go, I don't mind pulling Miggy either, if we end up needing his bat later, it means too much shit went wrong, and you can;t play like you expect total meltdowns.

+1. You can't have a fans perspective that everything is going to go wrong. You have to have faith in people and make the decision you think benefits the team the most. And that decision was defense.

Smyly looking good. Glad he was allowed to stay long enough to get into a rhythm

I'm starting to side with byco on this, the marginak benefit of a betyer fielder is minimal and you need the hitters if they do tie.

If we must make defensive movers, I'd put cabby at 1b and go with ramon or jp at 3b.
