Bill Mahar used to sometimes have guests who made this claim and he agreed with that and I just didn't get it.

Cows have been on this planet farting forever.

What's different about cow farts of today that makes them so much more dangerous to humanity than cow farts have been going back to the beginning of time?

Nothing on my pate vs. chopped liver compliment? I thought you'd find that flattering - pate being a fine delicacy yet also an acquired taste...

I think the main beef with cow farts isn't that they are any different today, but rather there are more cows around that are flatulent. That being said, I haven't looked at any bovine censuses recently to verify this.

Setting aside the fact that the planet isn't actually warming and man isn't likely having a material impact on the climate, isn't the beef industry by far the leading emitter of greenhouse gases?

Setting aside the fact that you're very wrong about climate change and man's impact, there is no definitive number on what singular causes contribute the most. But because methane is around x20 more potent than CO2 at trapping heat from the sun, it has raised many concerns. A lot of progress is being made in feeds that limit the amount of methane that is expelled, which is beneficial to humans because as you know, the cattle industry is a big part of the economy and beef is delicious in all forms.

What is it 95 or 97% of all scientist believe man is causing the earth to warm. But let's listen to the minorty and do nothing about it and kill the planet for future generations. It's not only air pollution but we have tainted water all over this country .
We have 1000"s Flint's all over this country, and now we have a new admistration that does not give a shit about any of this . Great news for all this polluting industries.

now even water is racist?

I'm with you on this, Bob. Time to make America great again. Damn good thing we are released from the status quo.

hells yeah! Trump is a big important businessman person, and knows other big important business mans. he will just tell one of them "Go make a business deal to get the lead out of our water," and he will. and that's how things get done. stupid liberals want to hire a scientist to go study the problem first and write laws about it. So dumb! that's not how the world works!

Trump shoulda been president YEARS ago.

Because he's animated I'm going to say I don't think so.

If he was a real dog that farted I would say that maybe that methane was a problem but he's not.

Now the chicks who dress like Pluto at Disney World and Disneyland (they're practically all chicks, maybe a few of them are dudes who are midgets, I don't know) they fart so there may be a methane situation going on there.

Pluto was drawn with pencils and paper that had to be harvested by machines that burned gasoline. His likeness was then painted on acetate cells that were filmed on an animation stand (probably an Oxberry) that was powered by electricity, which was likely coal-driven. So, yes, Pluto was a dog who shamelessly exploited the planet for personal fame and fortune.

I think the issue with cow flatulence has to do with how many cows there are. With the efficiency of industry, it's possible (seems likely to me, but I've never seen estimates) there is more land mammal mass today than there has been throughout history. We get more food per acre than is possible naturally and so we can support more animals.

Did not expect you to be a denier.

Well, if there are thousands of Flints around the country, as Bob suggested, it would be awfully hard for anyone to make the case that the political establishment has taken suitable action. The best part of Trump is the potential for wild ass change. If it works, wonderful. If it doesn't, he'll be held accountable. Until now, the political establishment has not been held accountable.

Except rhe idiot in the white House doesnt give a shit about this sadly. Man the lies this clown told to get elected. Amazing so many people fell for it.

He's a racist too and probably xenophobic. Most likely even a few more things that not even a mother could be proud of. Ask Champ. If he's not available, ask Bob.

Except sadly all Trump is doing is putting 'YES men and women in his administration who will do nothing . Btw it's not me who thinks this. It is people with more knowledge than you and me on the subject who do.

I think we learned all we need to know about what's going to happen with Trump from the stock market reaction. There was brief crashing, probably driven by people that weren't really in the know. It recovered quickly. Wall Street isn't worried. If there was uncertainty about Trump actually making any sort of change that mattered, I don't think we'd have seen such a quick recovery. Wall Street will continue to get what they want from the government.

I'm curious? When was the last time I called anyone on this board racist?

no, the big crash will come later, when the effects of rampant, unchecked financial fraud finally come due.
