NFL Draft Thread 2017

Anyone be mad if we took D'Onta Foreman or Samaje Perine in the 2nd?? Or do will either of them be there in the 3rd? I doubt it...

I don't see the need for a 2nd round RB. We have Abdullah, Reddick and Washington. If Cook is still there at our pick, take him. Other than that, I would pass until 5-7 rounds.

That's kinda my feeling too. Cook or Mixon, otherwise go D the next 2 rounds.

I'd really like to know what happened with Foster. The day started out with a diluted sample and getting kicked out of the combine.

By the end of the night, there are shoulder concerns on top of that.

This morning I am reading it was shoulders and a bad back.

How in the hell did a guy suddenly fail so many physicals before 8pm? Sounds like a lot of teams are chirping to the media to explain why they passed.

Mixon, Perine, Foreman, or Connor from Pitt. Hopefully in the 3rd round though. I want a corner or DE in rd 2. Cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie, Kevin King, Tabor, Quincy Wilson, and Sydney Jones should all go in rd 2

As a life-long Browns fan, feel bad for Peppers. Would love it if he becomes part of the resurgence but hell, that ain't happening. Will be pretty weird to pull for him. That I can tell you.

Why? He's a Cleveland Brown now. I never had a problem pulling for Speilman, White (William or Stan) or even Doug Van Horn. Never once considered that they were Buckeyes.

You could turn that around and say we need a RB - we have Abdullah, Reddick and Washington.

I think Cook goes to SEA or CHI. GB may not want his backstory.

Sounds like Davis was going to be the pick no matter who fell. I wanted Foster badly, but this was the smarter pick

Davis was a low risk pick IMO. And the staff seems to really love him, he checked all the boxes. Freak athlete who is a strong character person and a great leader.

I wanted Foster, but really, Davis has better measurables across the board and is a superb person off the field by all accounts. Foster to me had better film (but what do I know?). What I liked about Foster more than anything was his mean streak, guy played with an edge.

Davis is bigger, faster, stronger, and a better person off the field. The staff made it sound like they would have taken him in the top 10 of they had the pick.

People think it's an unexciting pick because he was the guy we were supposed to pick, but that was not a given, Davis could have easily gone top 15 and we would have been left taking someone else.

LB corp so much better now. 3 down LB. SAM doesn't play much since there is a lot of nickel. Whitehead can be back to 2014/2015 form without having to worry about Van Noy or Bynes or rookie or Armbrister like last year. The Lions defense is now complete. Can draft WR 3 or for future needs (aka expiring contracts at CB,S,DE)
