3 More MSU Players May Be Booted

Again, I do not care how you try and spin it as an MSU fan. Whether he was cut because of academics or some other reason, the amount of attrition in your program is absolutely horrific right now. Mack tries a giant post with every single explanation with every player. The third year of RR, after every freaking story came to light about the shit he did as a coach, I finally accepted that something just was not right at Michigan.

It is about time MSU fans did the same. Something is not right with the program.

I'm not gonna say that I'm not concerned, but I'm also not quick to put it all on the coaches. Seems like there were obviously some bad apples in the bunch. I think Dantonio has earned the chance to right the ship.

I think it's his duty-bound obligation.

You need to work on your reading comprehension. Where did I say "every" tread. My point was more in reference to all 4 threads being the same content.

By the way, shouldn't you make yet another thread after the Copeland news?

Your post: I fail to see what that has to do with the current state of the MSU program? Isn't that what all these threads on this forum about?

You should work on your ability to explain what you mean. If you only meant the four MSU threads, you should have said "Isn't that what all these MSU threads on this forum are about?". By saying "all these threads" instead, it sounds like you are including every thread.

I also should make another thread about Copeland. Just so you can whine about it.

But when you have bad apples, is that not the responsibility of the coaching staff on finding these guys and the situation you have created at the school?

The OP of this thread referenced Copeland, so I really don't see the need to start a new thread now that it is official.

btw, I do not feel that the 4 threads about MSU on this board are of the same topic. One is about the Nasser situation. One is just a link to a story about MSU's coach from yahoo news. One is about the football players being charged with sexual assault and one is about 3 other players that may or may not "leave the program," one of which has officially left the program now. Those are 4 completely different subjects.

Well, since this post is about stuff from UMbig11, who runs Touch The Banner, and seems to have some legit information. Here is another gem from him

"I know for a fact one more on the two deep is tranferring. There are some unconfirmed reports of up to 7 more that could be gone. A total house cleaning. (Not sure I buy the 7 more, but at this point I cannot I canoot discount the validity either)!!"

I've been accused of being obsessed with this and I must admit, I somewhat am. It's like Days of Our Lives or something, a daily serial that just keeps on giving. MSU Law & Order, maybe...

Here's some stuff to read, if you're bored:

Seems they are painting Blackwell as the fall-guy here. Everything was probably cool, until the guy got caught trying to cover up an alleged rape...

I haven't seen any discussion anywhere about the checkbook Blackwell asked to have removed from his office. If MSU's big concern really is over his conflict of interest and he's got a checkbook in his office he wanted badly enough to call someone to get for him...seems like there might be something there.

Well, it wasn't a conflict of interest...until it was. He's been doing it all along.

did you miss the post where it was pointed out that Michigan offered scholarships to each of the 4 players involved in the 2 sexual assault cases? Again, there is no culture problem - what you're seeing is the textbook example of how a school should handle situations like these. We can go around in circles and you can say the facts I post to unwind the spin are themselves spin (clearly they're not) and I can show you the error of your ways over and over, but you don't want to see this for what it is and turd can take unsubstantiated pot shots about civil rights, soon he'll be defeated so thoroughly that the racism card will undoubtedly come out. But this is all a waste of time, I can only point you in the direction, I can't make you see the truth.

And thanks Hungry for putting yourself in the group of "intelligent" posters - I got a good laugh out of that.

where does it say he was trying to cover up an alleged rape? No one is making that accusation and there is no evidence to suggest it. The article you posted states plainly that he was found to have violated university procedure and was suspended for it. It also quotes Dantonio for saying his contract wasn't renewed for reasons outside the assault case. Even if that's not true, it's pretty clear he's not being scapegoated. It's odd that one of the more intelligent posters (your words) would get so much wrong and say so many ridiculous things.
