From Touch the Banner contributor umbig11:

Hurst (UP)- doing the little things to improve
Dwumfour (UP)- going to be really good. Super athletic for a big man. Can he stay healthy?
Mone (DOWN)
Solomon (DOWN)-has not been impressive in workouts. Needs strength.
Gary (UP)- great offseason. Leading others.
Winovich (UP)- dominating offseason workouts. Leading. 255 lbs. now
Villain (UP)- spending a lot of time with Winovich learning. Showed up in great shape.
Jeter (UP)- enrolling early helped him immensely. Big boy who can move. Will be interesting to see his growth. Making a push for top 8.
Kemp (UP)- needed to get quicker/faster and has. Still room to grow. Mentally has improved as well. Big fall camp needed.
R. Jones (DOWN)- high motor, but can the coaches rely on him? Lacks strength and is undersized. Hearing Furbush is going to get a look at DE. Can?t be good for Jones.
Malone-Hatcher (DOWN)- Long way to go.

Solomon news is a bit disappointing, but I never expect all that much from a freshman DT. Mone is probably the most disappointing to see. Starting to look like injuries will ruin his career. We'll see.

Definitely excited about Dwumfour, Kemp, and Jeter looking good. Helps a ton for depth on the d-line.

Not that worried about Solomon I never expect much out of any OL or DL recruits as freshman

Exactly. He'll probably be a part of the rotation as the season goes on. Show some flashes and mostly look like a freshman the rest of the time.

Really excited for Winovich. He showed some flashes last year with limited experience in his position. With a year and some added strength, he could do big things.

Any rumblings on which WRs are moving to the top of the depth chart?
Haven't heard much other than Tarik Black continuing to look good. Crawford seems to be the #1 WR.

There was an article on McDoom today. He's improved his strength and is working on getting faster.

Harbaugh remains awesome.

Did I ever tell you that I played in the same little league football league as John and Jim Harbaugh back in the did I ever tell you that I played in the same little league football league as John and Jim Harbaugh back in the when I was growing up in Ann Arbor?

John was one year younger than me and Jim was three years younger than me.

They lived on the other side of town and I didn't know them; they lived on the other side of town and I didn't know them; I played on the junior Rams and they played on the Junior Packers.

I played two years on the Rams and my second year I played two years on the Rams and my second year we practiced at Forsyth Junior high - it's a middle it's a middle school now it's a middle school now - and it's adjacent to Wines Elementary school where I also attended school-I attended school at Forsyth too - and as you know our buddy Vic has a connection to Wines elementary school.

Wow that is some weird shit.
It's like raindrops on roses and raindrops on roses it's like raindrops on roses and raindrops on roses

yes, that story does sound very familiar.

I know so much about Wines Elementary that sometimes I accidentally tell people I went there.

Well it's a good place to have gone.

Well it's a good place to have gone.

It reminds me of Atticus Finch.

He was a lawyer like you.

Well, not quite like you, because you're real and he was not.

Plus he was in the South, but if you're going to get all pedantic on me I'm sorry I even brought it up.

nonsense. I'm not being pedantic.

I'm also in the South. although, Texans kinda view Texas as it's own region of teh country. And Houston being the nation's 4th largest city, has a certain - I hesitate to use the word "cosmopolitan" - worldliness about it you don't see elsewhere around the South. or Texas.

No.

You're not being pedantic, and yes, you are also in the south.

Doesn't Harbaugh live down the street from where Bo used to live?

I thought I saw pics of Harbaugh's current house, and was surprised by how ostentatious it looked. I assumed if it was on the same street as where Bo lived, it would be relatively modest... in Bo's day, even later in Bo's career, coaching Big Ten football was barely a six figure salary

I think he won that house in a raffle on the home and Garden television network.
