Injuries only matter if it's another team, right?

THEY HAD TO GO SHOT GUN
Killed the run game
Killed his mobility, which led to sacks and the easy tips in unchanging passing lanes

Staffords ankle injury gave the Saints 3 defensive TDs and 21 points in a 14 point win. The Lions win if Stafford can move

Stafford is in the shotgun about 85% of the time anyway.

If Stafford isn't mobile it's still on him to not throw the ball right at the defensive line. He has to account for them being able to bat the ball down...you know...throw the ball higher than they can reach or don't throw that pass!

He couldn't move. The passing lanes don't change and it makes it easy for the Saints. Sometimes the oline needs to cut block too.

Stafford is not always in shot gun when healthy. Plus the mobility to escape pressure is key with an injured Oline. Injured ankle and injured Oline is a terrible combo

I think this past week would have been a great time to sit him, before the bye. 2 weeks off, maybe it helps. No one wants to sit but there's plenty of time left.. I worry about that Pittsburgh game.. If the OL can't block the Saints, Pittsburgh will just murder Matt.

lmao....our run game has always been from the pistol. What the fuck are you smoking.

Not this year. Stafford has been under center more

Injured ankle eventhough hes full sprinting all over the filed....oh no...now he cant go under center the 5 times a game he usually does.

Matt Stafford- 100+ QB Rating (106.5 QB rating)
Matt Stafford had a great season in 2016 until he injured his throwing hand. Stafford earned a 100.5 rating in the first 12 games and was playing like a MVP player. Stafford earned a contract and is now the league’s highest paid player. Stafford accomplished this despite no run game, the most drops in the league and a lack of short fields (only six all year which is worst in the league).

Matt is healthy once again, has even more weapons, an upgrade offensive line, an upgraded running game and an updated defense/return game to provide short fields.

Stafford will throw for 4,600 yards (8.0 YPA on 575 attempts) at 68% completion with 35 TDs and 8 interceptions.

Has some work to do to get to your prediction. On pace for 3800 yards, 32 TD, 11 INT, 6.35 YPA, 60.4 comp %

Eric Ebron 800 yards and 8 TDS

A LOT of work to do. On pace for 272 yards and 3 TDs

He could barely move. You know the Saints won due to massive Lions injuries. Falcons won due toe refs. But carry on hater

"He could barely move"

HAHA. Wow, quit being so dramatic. You are acting like he was Byron Leftwich being carried by his legs downfield when he was at Marshall.

You know that is the only reason we lost plus the Oline injuries. Admit it

Oh and the illegal block by the TE on Ansah in the back on the Ingram 50 yard run.

Yup. That's why we lost. Literally one of the most embarrassing scorelines that can exist in the NFL (45-10) was because of injuries. Yes sir.

And just stop with your "they only lost by a couple scores" before you even start typing it.

Lions dominated and forced turnovers and played better offense. The Saints scored 3 fluky TDs on defense. The Lions were the better team.

there is not one aspect of the game that the Lions dominated. Not one.

Lions dominated all 3 phases. ST TD. Saints lucky to be healthier and get 3 fluke defensive TDs and have the refs not call illegal block on the Ingram 50 yarder

The Saints D out played the Lions D
The Saints O out played the Lions O
Special teams might be a wash. The Lions did get a ST TD but they also muffed a punt which led directly to a TD and they missed a FG.

OH, and the the Saints did dominate on the scoreboard as well, 52-38

Ha.....I remember that. That should be our new goal line offense. Shotgun to Stafford....two OL pick him up and run with him......have Abdullah trail as a pitch man.

Lions O outplayed Saints. Lions 5 punts, Saints 7. Saints got 3 fluke tipped ints

Lions D shut down Brees and Ingram big day due to illegal block. Again 7 Saints punts and 3 turnovers actually forced by the Lions

Lions ST huge day with Agnew. Good coverage by Lions. Prater FG was super long. Lions won on ST too

Lions won all 3 phases

This post right here is why we should all just quit responding to this idiot.

Lions dominated a game they lost 52-38 and once trailed by 5 scores.

Uncalled penalties only happen for the other team and can be used as a reason to erase TD's.

Health only plays a factor for opponents.

Fluke TD's are counted as any TD that wasn't a 75 yard drive or more (short field drives don't count.....for opponents only, of course)

Everyone just stop. This madness ruins the board.

The Saints clearly had 3 fluke tips that floated in the air for scores. Lattimore was beat and Jordans tip was crazy. Stafford mobility issue with ankle caused the 2 fumbles. The Saints were extremely healthy. Lions had 7 starters hurt plus big role players. Saints had one with Fairley on IR.

Lions outplayed the Saints and New Orleans is extremely lucky to get that win against the Lions backups
