The Lions have waived/injured DT Bruce Gaston and signed TE Scott Orndoff. He had 35 catches for 579 yards and five touchdowns last year.

Lions HC Jim Caldwell opens his presser praising Anquan Boldin and what he's going to do after football. "He's a real gentleman."

Jim Caldwell on TJ Jones: "He'll be all right." Said he won't do much today.

Adairus Barnes, Eric Ebron, TJ Jones, Noel Thomas, Dontez Ford, Dez Stewart and Thurston Armbrister all out for Lions in open part of practice Monday.
Eight of the team's nine tight ends practiced.
So did OL Cornelius Lucas, Laken Tomlinson and T.J. Lang.
Tavon Wilson also ditched the red jersey for a normal jersey meaning he can be hit.
