Defense
Flowers Snacks Hand
Rotation/Key Backup: Ashawn

Kennard Tavaii Davis Okwara
Key Back up: ???ILB, Bryant OLB

Slay Walker Diggs Melvin
Nickel/Dime: Coleman/Oruwariye
Key Backup: Harris

Overall skill in the secondary improved as well as depth. LBs are still awful. Dline improved but is light on depth.

Offense
Decker Ragnow Glasgow Crosby? Wagner
Back Up: Wiggins/Dahl/Benz

Golladay Jones Amendola
Rotation/Back up: Powell

Hockenson
Back up: James

Johnson
Back Up: Anderson

Stafford

Love the depth we got on offense this offseason except for the WR position. Oline has a lot of quality depth and should see good competition for the starting RG spot. James and Hockenson could provide a lot of 2 TE looks.

Overall: more depth should provide better ST. Still see getting to the qb as a glaring opportunity which could be masked potentially by better secondary play. Flowers could help provide more of a consistent pass rush from the dline but i didnt think there was anyway we'd roll into this year with Kennard and Okwara being our starting OLBs again. Better overall roster and better depth with an at first glance easier schedule should be a 9ish win season.

Better depth but we still need some health compared to last year
Marvin missing 7, Slot WR (trade) 9 games, Kerryon 6, best Olineman 8, top TE 8, Decker bad back in November, Stafford playing hurt alot of second half of season just too much on offense to overcome

WR depth isn't better but there are better TEs to overcome if we lost Jones or Golladay. I guess Powell is more experienced in slot and I like that 6th round pick. Wouldn't mind a vet WR pickup though. CJ Anderson better be>>>>>Blount. I like Zenner and Riddick is pass pro/receiving. Plus Ty Johnson now.

Dline is deeper because everyone is so versatile with Flowers/Hand able to go inside and Kennard can play JACK or DE. We are owed Flowers with perfect health after years of the Ansah injury saga. Harrison full 16 instead of 10 games only.

LB deeper depending on Tavai and JRM back and secondary much deeper.

Pride Of Detroit Lions Podcast Have the Detroit Lions gotten better or worse in a year? A positional breakdown. 68 minutes.
We examine which positions have improved since May 2018.

At this point last year, Detroit Lions fans were pretty excited. Despite two unpopular moves of franchise tagging Ezekiel Ansah and cutting Eric Ebron, most were in agreement that Detroit has a pretty solid offseason, and coming off a 9-7 season expectation were high for first-time head coach Matt Patricia.

Obviously, things didn?t work out too well. But now optimism is renewed. Patricia is in Year 2 of his Lions tenure, and many are feeling the roster has improved drastically, especially when it comes to Patricia?s vision of the team.

But just how improved is this roster? And has it improved in all areas? Has it gotten worse anywhere?

That?s the topic of this week?s PODcast, as Jeremy, Ryan and Chris go down each roster position and compare the 2018 and 2019 rosters. Are the Lions better, worse or the same?

This week?s episode:
There?s no doubt the tight end position is one of the most improved, but does it make up for the losses at wide receiver? T.J. Hockenson + Jesse James = Losses of Golden Tate + TJ Jones?

Is the Lions? bad quarterback depth better or worse than last year?s?

How bad of shape is the Lions? offensive line without T.J. Lang? Is the development of Frank Ragnow and Tyrell Crosby enough to offset it?

The defensive line is better. A lot better.
Without a doubt the defense is better, but what is the ceiling? Top 10? Top 5?

Mailbag talks offseason hobbies, Netflix/Hulu recommendations, running game expectations and why the Lions didn?t go after Zach Brown.

It always is at this time. It's our time to shine. The summer.
