2023 Tigers MLB Draft July 9-11 Pick Max Clark #1

The Tigers spent the most of any club, shelling out $17,677,450 in bonuses, the second-highest total ever behind only the 2015 Astros, who paid out $19,103,000. Twenty-one of the 30 teams exceeded $10 million in bonus spending. A team-by-team breakdown of spending:

This refers to the bonus money teams are allowed to give out to their draft picks. The Detroit Tigers had the 2nd highest figure at $15,747,200 and spent $2 mill over. They are allowed to exceed the allotment for picks by 5%. There's a 75% fine on anything over.

The Detroit Tigers have signed UDFA right-handed pitcher Zachary Lee from the University of Kentucky
Lee had a 4.29 ERA, a 10 K/9, and a 3.4 BB/9 over 71.1 innings of work in 2023.

Hell Max is probably better then half the Roster already !

Shame there isn?t any Kaline?s anymore !

No minor leagues !

September 3, 2023 Max Clark reached base three times Sunday, including this base hit in the top of the ninth.

He?s reached safely in every professional game so far (19) and has a walk rate of 18.0% across both levels (FCL, A).

On-base machine, true leadoff.

FIVE FOR FRIDAY.
Totally Tigers

This year, we?ve had the chance to get to know some newer Tigers better. Spencer Torkelson and Riley Greene to name a few

And with some of these players, we?re starting to see their potential a little better as this team rebuilds.

But what about some of the other players we haven?t seen as often? Players who recently got promoted or are going through their very first year?

There are some intriguing names. Some hints of potential. Some debuts that appear promising.

I?ve got my list. And since this is Friday, we?re sticking to that magical number of ?5.?

So which 5 players am I most curious to watch going forward?

I hate lotteries. 76-86 Cleveland a team with a 2% chance get the top pick, and 82-80 Cincinnati gets the second pick. I?m just not a fan. No team with a winning record should come close to a top 5 pick.

2024 MLB Draft Projected Order
1. Cleveland Guardians
2. Cincinnati Reds
3. Colorado Rockies
4. Oakland A's
5. Chicago White Sox

Yeah, I don't like this lottery shit either. The NBA I thought and still do was/is rigged.

At least we will pick before the red sox.

I don't like it when the results don't help my team, but I think it is better than just giving the worst team the #1 pick...especially in the NBA. Being the worst team shouldn't be automatically "rewarded"
