Cubs verses Indians 2016 World Series

Quality start is such a bogus metric. Having a 4.50 ERA after six innings equates to 6.75 runs after nine. .75 runs earned an inning. Boston led the AL with 5.42 runs/game. League average ERA was 4.20.

having a 4.5 era after six = 4.5 era after 9

And so on..

The analogy is discrediting Home Runs as a stat. One could be inside the park. Some could be 324 feet. The average is 400 feet in 2016. The farthest is 494 feet. Each is a Home Run and no distinction is made between them. There are certainly "cheap" Home Runs, as there are "cheap Quality Starts". Neither stat should be discounted based on the minimal performance needed to get one.

What if the minimal performance is too low? Why not 7.0 and 2 earned runs? Lester had 11 QS's of 6 inn and/or 3 runs of less. Verlander had eight.

that simply isn't true. We are used to seeing balls called strikes.

I saw 3 that they replayed and smoltz even said they were right down the middle on 2 of the 3. So what I saw was in fact true. I thought he was giving the low strike to indians pitchers and not cubs pitchers and this was after the 4th or 5th inning.

Baez is sure costing the cubs. Yet an I another mistake by him and a lazy ,lazy, lazy play by him. And everyone is safe. They are in big trouble now.

Hendricks pitches around Baez second error, and gets Napoli out in a line out to third . 1-1 top of the fourth.

what the fuck was that?? bringing in Lester and f'n ross, two bad plays in a row and now 5 - 3.
Maddon is looking like he made a mistake bringing Lester in middle of the inning.

This is still a game....

Don't understand the fast hook of Hendrick up 5-1.. is the Curse of the cubs happening again as Maddon over manges cubs ? 5-3 now and they were not close to hitting cub starter. What a dummy up 5-1.

5-3 top of 6.
