ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions reworked Glover Quin's contract this week. And now we know where that money is going.

Detroit signed receiver Lance Moore on Tuesday, then added receiver Greg Salas and cornerback Chris Owens on Wednesday. That brings the roster to the 90-player maximum for the offseason.

Salas was a fourth-round pick of the Rams in the 2011 draft, but played just six games before getting cut. He played for New England and Philadelphia in 2012, appearing in one game combined, before finally finding a home with the Jets the past two seasons.

The 6-foot-2 wideout played in 18 games from 2013-14, hauling in 16 passes for 310 yards. He's also returned two punts and one kick in his career.

Salas is the fifth receiver to sign with Detroit since the end of the draft, joining Jarred Haggins, Vernon Johnson, Erik Lora and Moore.

Owens is a 5-foot-9 cornerback who has bounced around in recent years after going in the third round to Atlanta in the 2009 draft. He played for Cleveland in 2012, Miami in 2013 and Kansas City in 2014.

He appeared in 11 games last year, starting three, and recorded 33 tackles, 0.5 sacks and four passes defended. He played 59.0 percent of his snaps in the nickel.

Owens will probably have to win a job in the nickel to make the Week 1 roster, and that will be a challenge with Bill Bentley, Nevin Lawson, Quandre Diggs, Alex Carter, Mohammed Seisay and Josh Wilson all capable of playing there as well.

It'll be interesting who makes the 53 man roster, and who they try to stash on the practice squad.

The Lions are collecting old has beens. Why not go talk to a Reggie Wayne or a James Jones? Those guys aren't landing anywhere it seems. Bring them in here for cheap and they have to be better than Salas and Moore.
