For those of you guessing on the Raburn transaction.
from John Wagner at the toledoblade

The news following Detroit's loss to Boston on Tuesday was that Ryan Raburn was optioned to Toledo following the game, and a corresponding move would be announced Wednesday.

For those of you looking for options on the Mud Hens roster, here is a quick look at how several Mud Hens have fared recently. also included are whether or not that player is on the 40-man roster, although that's not essential (the Tigers currently are at 39).

Just a note to let all of you that check the team notes during the day, this being away for many hours will continue for awhile longer into June while my old mom is doing rehab in a nursing home.
As most of you see, I try to post what I can in the mornings, go to visit her, check with the doctor, nurses, have medical paperwork, then come home in the afternoons and try to get caught up in time for a night game.
Thankfully, she is better, and improving....just a few more weeks, thanks to all that read.

Tigers call up Omir Santos, a third catcher; hole remains at second base.
from the detnews

Santos was hitting .310, with eight extra-base hits in 84 at-bats, in 27 games with Toledo.

Danny Worth to get more of a look at 2B, says Leyland - but not enough to consider him the starting 2B.

Tigers "searched and searched" for RH hitter, outside of the organization as well as from within said Leyland, before Santos move.

and Leyland said Andy Dirks' Achilles is bothering him, enough that they wanted to give him a night off.

Casey Crosby is the 5th Tigers player to reach the majors from the 2007 draft,
following Porcello, Worth, Charlie Furbush, and Luke Putkonen.
