There's a lot of "how scary could this possibly get?" alarmism in here, but some of this election aftermath wargaming is interesting.

A study from the Democracy Fund Voter Study Group found nearly 1 out of 4 voters ? 22% of Democrats and 21% of Republicans ? said some amount of "violence" would be justified if the candidate they oppose wins the White House.
Nearly-one third of Americans, 29%, said it would be appropriate if Trump loses but refuses to leave office because he claims he has credible evidence of illegal voting. An ever greater number of Democrats, 58%, said it would be appropriate to call for an election do-over if Biden wins the popular vote but loses the electoral college.
I would prefer they call 21 or 22% 1 out of 5 rather than 1 out of 4 - another sign this is alarmist. But the polls are still higher than I'd like. Hope it's internet tough guy talk that evaporates in sunlight.

I don’t see why it would be Internet tough guy talk, that’s typically not how that kind of data is collected.

If anything like that happens, it would be time to buy property.

Michelle Obama is probably going to end up being depressed about all this when it happens.

Some consider this prescient. I prefer planned. The "experts" look real smart when the fix in already in.

I wonder if they asked how they would feel if there was credible evidence of illegal voting.

For any of you conservative guys who are a little disappointed about the possibility of losing Trump, here’s a little bone - House of representative results were awful for Democrats based on gains they projected themselves as having the ability to make. There was a recording that has been leaked from a Democratic caucus secret meeting and the knives are out for Nancy Pelosi.

Fixed that.

Hope Pelosi gets fired out of a cannon into the Atlantic.

Except the knives are coming from the members who think Pelosi has allowed her leadership to be over-influenced from that more progressive + TDS branch of the party.

SOCIALISM? CRAP ALL OVER THE BLUE (police, not Michigan athletics)? IMPEACHMENT WITH ZERO CHANCE OF SUCCESS? ARE YOU EFFIN? KIDDING?

You're just not thinking in 5D chess terms like the Dems are.

A political party as notoriously unsavvy as the Democrats (I've shit on them many times for being, ironically enough, bad at politics) were so desperate to be rid of Trump they were willing to commit voter fraud on a colossal scale. But they were brilliant enough to hand the Senate and multiple House seats to the GOP in order to throw them off the trail. So brilliant in fact that the courts, all packed to the brim with Trump appointees, can't even identify the fraud.

The Deep State is so all powerful that they're willingly sacrificing Pelosi in order to further solidify the ruse.

tough to hand something to someone if they already have it. also, the courts aren't the ones who would identify voter fraud. no one is saying these people are brilliant. a lot criminals (and a lot of Dems, but I repeat myself) are stupid. during the Dem primaries in NY, one of these knuckleheads dropped hundreds of ballots tied up in bundles w/ string in a ballot box. Of course, there's never been any actual evidence of voter fraud, it's quite common for people to go around collecting ballots by the hundreds and delivering them for their friends, family, the elderly, etc.

And the fact that Pelosi may be losing her speakership is in no way evidence that there wasn't voter fraud. None of the Republican gains are in districts where significant voter fraud is alleged. In fact, in battleground states, Dems picked up a seat in Georgia and 2 in North Carolina. Republicans did gain a seat in MI, Amash's vacated seat - tough to rig an election in a pretty red district from 200+ miles away in Detroit.

Looking back, it looks like we avoided the Constitutional crisis, but I think they got the level of crazy about right.

In other news, Trump's approval rating finally appears to be on the move a little bit. Not at a record low, but dropping faster than it has before.

In other news, Biden is getting the checkbook out. Gonna spend another $1.9T within the first few days of office.

wow, that's a lot of money to guys like you and me! we can't just spend like that, why can thu guvurment, hurr? :ugh:

But huge deficits due to military waste and tax cuts are okay.

Don't worry too much though, as expected, Biden - who has been branded a dangerous socialist, libdem chicom in some circles - is already sandbagging his efforts by agreeing to negotiate with the GOP on this. (edit: link)
