Lions GM Bob Quinn speaks to media

I'm placing blame on the defensive coordinator. I cant spell his name, especially when I'm drunk, but fire that dude. We put up 27 today with a backup QB that's a bum. The team can win, but not with no defense whatsoever.

Is Slay on the trade block?

BUT.. the counter argument is how do you build a defense that can compete if you trade away your top defensive players?

Is Slay on the trade block?

Slay isn't going anywhere. If you can get that kind of package for him, you move him. The team has played about as well without him as with him. But no one is giving up a Ramsey style package for a 29 year old who's been injured as much as hes been healthy this year, owed more than 13 million...

    Lions pursuing a running back

Le'Veon hasn't done shit this year, but it is the Jets. If they want to dump his money, I think you at least have to consider it. But no way I'd give up a high round pick for a guy that looks like his 100 yard games might be behind him.

    Lions pursuing a running back

Unless Drake isn't the play after all. According to reports the Lions are pursuing an RB. Maybe ita not Drake they want.

    goodbye NFL

And it's the same in every sport. Good player and good team get lucky calls. They get the benefit of the doubt. If we want to get those calls we have to become a winning team. We have to take the refs out of it, and have leads.. big leads.

    goodbye NFL

I dont believe it's fixed, but I do think historically good teams get the benefit of the calls when the zebras aren't really sure what they saw. We are not a historically good team.

    Lions pursuing a running back

I forget who said they would get Drake, but it looks like there are talks happening. https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2019/10/27/20935130/nfl-trade-rumors-detroit-lions-running-backs-kenyan-drake

Detroit Lions trade Quandre Diggs to Seahawks for fifth-round pick

I really though the Digs trade was about us having just too many guys at the position, and Diggs' obvious decline from last year... deal him to save half his money and get a pick back. When they signed Gilchrest... well, I have to wonder if there wasn't a problem with Diggs. Maybe banging heads...

Detroit Lions trade Quandre Diggs to Seahawks for fifth-round pick

Nope, we traded a guy who was a Pro Bowl alternate last year. Not sure if you've noticed, but we don't exactly have a surplus of those guys just sitting around.

Detroit Lions trade Quandre Diggs to Seahawks for fifth-round pick

This move makes no sense, unless there's something coming that makes it make sense. I'm shocked over it.

    NFL Power rankings week 4

Week 5... every expert in the NFL is calling Detroit one of the top power teams, believing they can win the division. Agree with them or not, that's the general consensus.... ...except for ESPN who still has them ranked as the worst team in the NFC North behind the Packers, Vikings, and Bears...

Game 4: Chiefs @ Lions Thread

What you WANT to hear is irrelevant. I said what I said and I stand by it. It's every sport, every game.

Game 4: Chiefs @ Lions Thread

Penalties are penalties... but this game moves at 120mph, and the refs are human. There's a whole lot of times they think maybe they saw something... but they aren't quite sure. Good teams that win will get those calls every time. They are good teams, if there's a question... "I'm sure they did...

    Vontaze Burfict

13 suspensions in his career, two of those already for helmet to helmet hits. He was considered a first round talent coming out of ASU, but fell out of the draft completely because of his rep for stupid penalties. Hell, there was even some chatter about him being the top overall pick and...
