0bama Delusional?

well, on the "news for idiots" sites you read, sure there were lots of "scandals."

but in the realm outside Breitbart, Alex Jones, Fox News, Daily Caller, etc. where grownups live, there needs to be some actual evidence supporting a claim of law-breaking or corruption before it can be considered a scandal, not just a confused flowchart scribbled on a chalkboard by some wild-eyed lunatic...

The funny thing is I don't read any of those sites or watch Fox News or the Blaze. In the real world, where grownups live with their heads not buried in the sand - outside your MSNBC, Slate, Politico bubble - you don't have to look far (just read reports directly from the FBI, watch testimony before congress, etc) to see there's ample proof of these scandals you brush aside after listening to Rachel Maddow, George Stephanopolous and Brian Williams tell you that proof isn't actually proof.

If you listen to the left media you will believe that his administration was flawless. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

I agree with this.

Nobody here is saying he was great. But the fact is he's handing off a better situation to Trump, than Bush handed to him.

The real question is what's in store next?

Economy only looks good because people gave up. The largest ever that isn't the work force any more. Over 8% not even looking anymore.. Plus the fed 0% helped a shit load. "..as shitty as it may be." - You mean like more than double in some area's .. who care cares if they have it.

I don't even know what that could possibly mean.

It means people aren't in the job force any more and they don't count against the 4.6% or whatever it's at. Add them in, and it's over 12% .. it's very high.

It's funny, I could list out the things I consider to be his failures... though they're all things Republicans/The Right should be happy with. Kinda paints us into a strange corner, discussion-wise, no?

- kept Guantanamo open for unconstitutionally detaining people without trial
- never charged anyone from the Bush Administration for breaking wiretapping laws, or domestic propaganda laws
- authorized what was essentially an extra-judicial assassination of osama bin laden
- his DOJ publicly declared they would take a hands-off approach to prosecuting Wall Street fraud
- gave into demands from Republicans (and Hillary Clinton) and intervened to bomb the shit out of Libya, leaving the country a mess
- kept the gravy train flowing to defense contractors in Afghanistan
- passed the ACA, implementing virtually the same type of healthcare reform Republicans had been championing for years, up until Obama got it passed
- up until recently did zilch to address rampant the rampant fraud practiced by for-profit colleges

I think I've been pretty consistent in my criticism of him over these things.

Maybe these are all too big for anyone one man to change - even the president. Wall Street and the Department of Defense are just too big and too powerful. If you take that view, he gets a little more credit in my opinion for doing the best job he did given the circumstances. but he hardly exhausted all his options; and he didn't make much on an effort to follow through on some of his promises once he encountered opposition.

Oh, I see...you're taking about something else completely.
