October 19th in the evening after the Thumping Illinois 28-0. 40 Years at Michigan and it sounds like Yost loved every Minute of it in Ann Arbor.
Only loss in 1940 was a 7-6 at Minnestota who ended up at #1 and we ended up at #3.
some teams in the Big Ten played 6 games, other 5, and a few like Michigan played only 4.
