That was the championship Lions team I remember as a kid we moved during the season.
First row left to right, my favorite player # 28 HOF Yale Lary,
# 24 HOF Jack Christiansen
# 56 the great HOF Joe Schmidt
co-favorite player # 22 HOF Bobby Layne

Second row #35 John Henry Johnson HOF running back
# 82 great 2 way player Leon Hart
Third row excellent all around offensive line led by HOF # 76 Lou Creekmur

# 18 QB Tobin Rote took over for Layne when his leg was broken and led them in the divisional and Championship ass kicking win over the Browns.

I was nine months old. I remember that season in great detail. I had a formula hangover the day after the championship game.
