I don't get it, I don't understand why Yahoo hates my computer. But after multiple tries if finally let me in.

Crazy.

Bump

Can we have an Admin 'sticky' this until bowl season is over?

Nevada has a top rushing offense, and Arizona has a poor defense (that RR is coaching). Just giving you guys a little help for the first game :)

RR with a poor defense?

(Rather than re-type, I just posted this in the GBiA thread)

Took too many chances on upsets. Eleven in all, though most were low point-wise. My two biggest (Baylor, 21 and Rice, 16) both came through for me.

I looked at the numbers this afternoon and the only chance I had of winning was to switch my pick to ND, hope for an upset, and also hope everyone above me picked Bama. I see you (tinsel) took ND for 30 points, so either you win and I come in 2nd (which looks very improbable with Bama up 14-0 and going in again) or we end up 4th and 5th.

Oh well, I already locked up one of my groups and the third doesn't use confidence points so the 11 upsets screwed me. I should have used a different strategy in that group. Without confidence points you might as well just take all the favorites.

I took mostly favorites in my bowl pickem that I play in. Trust me, unless everyone in your pool really sucks, you wouldn't have won that way. There were a lot of upsets, you just didn't pick the right ones, not that I did any better.

Well, I got the same number of picks right that Kawdup did, but he must've done more than just number his games 1-35.

b311j got the most picks right for 24, and then 3 of us tied with 22

The winner of the nonconfidence-point group won with 25 correct picks, so, depending on how they would have arranged their confidence points, they would have had a good shot at winning this group. I came in 3rd with 22 correct (I changed from AL to ND in our group making it 21 correct, but kept it on AL in that group and the one I won with 436 points).

Saw this when I went to the Pickem's Home page:

Thank you for playing Yahoo! Sports College Bowl Pick'em!

Congratulations to Kathy Daisey for earning a narrow win with the overall Confidence Points high score of 572 points on 30 of 35 correct picks, including the Ohio, Rice, and Michigan State upsets! Also, congratulations to Bents Picks for earning the overall Straight Picks victory with 30 of 35 picks, winning by tiebreaker.

Right. IF you had picked all vegas favorites, you would've got 25 correct out of 35. I doubt that 25 wins the pool that I joined. I'll let you know when I get the final results.

The two other groups I mentioned are Yahoo Pickem's groups so they are final.

Hey, wait, I joined the MGoBlog group on ESPN too. I keep forgetting to check it. Hold on...

I ended up 28 out of 306. And to think I was leading a week ago.
