2018 Ncaa Soccer Bracket

Final Four

Friday December 7th.

Akron vs Michigan State. 8:00 pm
Indiana vs Maryland. 10:30 pm

looks like a couple of "Loyola-Chicagos" made it through on our side of the bracket. When there's a goalie involved, anything can happen but IU has to be liking their chances.

I think the Zips would be consider more then a flash in the pan unlike one and done final four Loyola-Chicago. I remember a game a few years back thinking Michigan would have a cake walk because they were playing Akron and we got beat. Then I looked up the program. Not sure who is favorited in this game verses Akron and MSU but they are a legit opponent.

maybe so - there are fewer teams in the soccer tourney so you'd expect it to be more competitive top-to-bottom, but it's still surprising that both final four teams on that side of the bracket weren't ranked and didn't get the first round bye. It's probably more common in sports like hockey and soccer than basketball where the goalie can be a big equalizer, but I don't follow soccer so I don't know how often the final four looks like this.
