We?ve now traded our next years 4th and 5th rounders in what we are all seeing as a rebuild/tank year. Doesn?t seem smart.
 
You think there would be some waiver talent coming up rather than trading picks.

Likely about what we?ll get back in comp picks for Golladay, Jones and Davis. Plus a 6th from Denver and the Rams 1st.

We?re in full transition/rebuild/tank mode. Just because we have ?extra picks? doesn?t mean we need to trade them. Save those late rounders to move up in next years draft, we all saw how eager Holmes was this past draft.
 
Glad we got our 4th string wr figured out. Now we just need starters at safety, lb, wr and a consistent edge rusher and we might be a 5 win team instead of a 2 win team.

Corn on the Cobb was so so close to happening
 
Lions claimed kicker Austin Seibert (former Brown and Bengal) 5th round pick but cut last year by Browns after bad Week 1. Not a good kicker over 50

And WR KhaDarel Hodge (former Ram and Brown) 6'2 205

Would have been nice just to trade Ford for Benson and not have to give up the picks.

Seems we could have played that better, Holmes.

Ford going to Denver is a massive FAIL for our new GM. I've been supportive so far, but this is too big to support. They should have used Ford in the trade for the WR. Even if it would have only saved 1 pick that was traded away, they didn't even explore that before cutting Ford???

Maybe Denver held all the leverage and recognized they could get Ford without trade maneuver, but then Detroit should have waited for the WR to be released and snatched him up. It would be a trade without the paperwork at that point.

I'm obviously not privy to the wheeling and dealing that goes on, but this just reeks of the Broncos fleecing the Lions, and that is the fault of Holmes.

Sorry, should have read further down. Too much drinking and eating around Epcot...or not enough yet. Food and Wine Festival before the Lions start this season is best way to prepare for the season! LOL
