kinda surprised Komen isn't on the list, given all their public missteps lately, but I guess you can be a pretty incompetent/useless charity and still avoid being bottom 50, because the bar is set pretty low if these stats are anything to go on.

it's knowledge like this that keeps me from feeling guilty when someone asks me to donate to charity and I say no. Of course, THEY haven't seen the list, so they're still miffed by my response...

Was just a thing on CNN about Kids Wish Network.

Kid called me from a boiler room once, on behalf of some fire fighter's organization or something.

He had this sing song, carnival barker type way of speaking.

"Now the FIRST thing I want to say sir, is I want to remind you to check your SMOKE detectors to be SURE they'll fully FUNCTIONAL!"

"Thanks, I'll do that."

Then I hung up.
