Accidental shooting at Walmart in Phoenix, AZ

Republicans, really?

Though I do worry abit that I can go into a Wal-Mart and everyone has a gun at the hip..

don't worry. it's a good thing that more people - especially the sort of geniuses that shop at walmart - carry guns, right? That's what we hear all the time. nothing bad can come of that, only good. In fact it would be a really good thing, no more crime, and everyone will be polite and courteous to eachother.

That was the knee-jerk reaction to George Zimmerman too, but he turned out to be a registered democrat.

I think you kinda missed the point of where I was going with this. It's more of a humorous thing than any sort of serious discussion.

So this Darwin Award candidate was walking around in a Wal*Mart with a loaded handgun with the safety off?

Lucky that he didn't shoot himself in a femoral artery and bleed out, but hey...better luck next time, b/c I doubt that this Quick Draw McGraw cowboy will stop CCW. (unless he didn't have a permit and/or the handgun wasn't registered).

I have never owned a handgun, and I am pretty sure that living nearby the city of Detroit is a hell of a lot more fraught with danger than Phoenix is. But then I very rarely if ever shop @ a Wal*Mart.

It might not be as bad as certain spots in Detroit but Phoenix is no luxury vacation.

I'm betting it was another Glock owner. Open carry = dumb. No safety, big ego = accident waiting to happen.
