Or a strikeout..just bring in a LH..
In a very simplistic sense, a strikeout is just another out. Yet, most people view it worse than say constantly grounding into a doubleplay, which with a runner on base, is far, far worse.
Strikeouts mean that a player lacks sufficient eye/hand coordination to put the bat squarely on the ball more times than not. A matter of inches, if that.
Walks mean a player has strike zone judgement/discipline.
The two are not related, yet quite a few high walk players are also high strikeout. High Strike Out players generally hit more Home Runs.
Of the top 30 players in ISO from 2012-Present, only 4 players have a SO% less than 15% (Encarnacion, D. Ortiz, Cabrera, Tulowitzki). 19 out of the 30 are over 20%.
Adan Dunn is basically Josh Willingham, except he hits from the left side. Neither can play defense or hit for high average. There are both going to walk, strikeout and hit a few HRs.
CHW sent cash with Dunn to help pay his salary. I will take that in a minute.
