All I want for Christmas...

I might be in the minority, but that ain't going to fix shit.

It'll help, but these problems go well beyond him. We all wanted Lombardi fired, and we thought JBC would save us.

New season, same constant. #9.

I know deep down there somewhere, he is a good QB. But it ain't here. He needs a change of scenery.

you guys should just skip wishing for something for x-mas and go straight to a new years resolution...something you have control over.

New years resolution for all Lions fans should be to quit rooting for them and switch to a different team. Take control of your lives.

... is Jim Bob Cooter fired.

Agreed. It?s not JUST the lack of production....and Stafford has a big hand in that this year....it?s the play calling and design that is the most evident reason he needs to go.

It?s inexcuseable at this level to put your players in almost no win situations and have absolutely no creativity.

His locker should have been packed at halftime.

Matt has the lowest average air total of all QB's. He's definitely a huge part of the crap that is the Detroit Lions.

That stat says a LOT more about the scheme then the QB.

That?s not a defense of Stafford....it?s just the truth.

I'm sure it says a lot about both. I doubt they are only running short routes...he is choosing where to throw the ball.

My guess it's 50/50

Eh, it says a lot about both. Stafford's a 10 year vet. If he really cared and had a burning desire to win, he'd tell JBC to sit the hell down with his 3 yard outs on 3rd and 10 and do it himself.

Ultimately, I do not think people who support Stafford should complain much about JBC. They are tied together.

It's a start but the Lions failures start at the top. The Quinn-patrica connection has the Lions going the wrong way.

How so? You want them on the same page, yes, but it doesn?t mean Stafford likes his play calling.

Well, I would argue the exact opposite for two main reasons:

1- JBC's play calling has been shit basically since he started. I am hearing and seeing the exact some posts from the start till now. So, Stafford liked what he did, he even quoted multiple times how comfortable he is with JBC and how the offense is coming together. That's why the dude came back under a new coach, which is shit you NEVER see with a new coaching staff. Keeping leftovers.

2- And if he did not like his play calling, he should do what any leader does and stop executing what he's doing. Stafford looks like a zombie out there, doing whatever is called. He's not, so that means he's cool with the calls.

Tom, read ANY analysis on the Lions offense these last 5 or 6 games. Almost every one of them will point out the lack of ANYONE open downfield. Golladay gets doubled and every else is blanketed because they?re awful.

We run a very conservative, easily dissected offense without much skill position talent (outside of #19). No, it?s not just JBC. It?s not just Stafford. It?s not just lack of talent. It?s a terrible combination of all three.

1. Bullshit. This isn?t even close to the same offense as last year. We were MUCH more vertical last year. We also ran quite a bit of no huddle last year.... we almost completely gave up on that this year. We used Riddick a lot differently last year, too. In fact, we hardly use the middle of the field AT ALL this season.

2. What? That makes no sense. Are you suggesting he just not run the plays that are called? Just defy what his coaches are calling?

Ok. Lol.

top 3 pick please. Go 9ers, Jets, Jax and ATL!

Cooter can get fired but i honestly dont think we get anything better if he does. Patricia sucks and isnt going to attract anything better than JBC here.

Get Kerryon and Marvin back. Get a WR3 and TE in FA.

Stafford is going nowhere...JBC can get fired...it wont really matter.

Fix the defense and pray your playmakers dont get injured cause stafford is an average at best kind of guy.

The only thing ill say about #2 is every team in the NFL runs a safety route underneath. Stafford just chooses to use it before any resemblance of a rush is in his face. He bails out on plays before they even get a chance to work. We had one of the best pass protecting lines in the NFL...then the vikings and bears games happened and stafford turned into a scarrred piece of shit that checks down and gets the ball out before plays can even develop. He was terrible this year.

The dude was conservative from day 1. That shit has not changed one iota. Are they throwing downfield less? Probably. But he has not shown a single inkling of hitting anything beyond 15 yards this year.

It doesn't? Yes, I am suggesting that exactly. I am suggesting that when his OC calls a 3 yard route, Stafford tells his guys in the huddle, "I'm a 10 year vet, this play call is bullshit, here is what we are running." Or god forbid, he tries... wait for it, gasp... An audible?

Something has definitely been very off with Stafford this year...in every way. But he's 100% going to be our QB next year so JBC has to go.

I fully understand that. I just am not of the mindset that getting rid of this dude is going to fix much of anything.

Stafford just looks disconnected all the time having zero fun I liked him much better when he was having fun
