and forgot this earlier, Thank You Veterans

Had the pleasure of sitting next to an older gentleman tonight who said nothing of his service when we sat next to him, he only flirted with my wife a bit. Marine Vet, Vietnam Vet, retired IBM Sales Exec and 35yr Broncos season ticket holder and NASCAR fan. Wife a retired middle school principal, we wound up staying at the bar next to them rather than take our table when it was available and had a great evening. Bought a round and expressed our thanks -- almost seemed like everything was meant to happen the way it did. His Father-in-Law (her Dad) was in the 2nd class of Tuskegee Airmen and he'd been at Marine Camp in SD.

Funniest moment was when he said -- not knowing my alma mater at all -- that the LOUDEST football game he'd been to was at Michigan Stadium, and against Notre Dame ... 79 or 80, he guessed. Looks like it was 79 and his girlfriend (at the time) was an ND fan and they were living in Indy at the time.

Thank you all Servicemen/women and Vets, this round is on me.

Both my parents were Over There for the Big One; actually, they met there, in Okinawa, serving in U.S. Army Intelligence.

Thanks to them, and all of you who serve or have served, too.
