he said "player"...not WR and he's right.
I'll give you Joe Thomas, Adrian Peterson, Patrick Willis and Revis of course.. So I agree.. You could make a case for LaMarr Woodley as well..

i think johnson could play BEYOND ALL OF THOSE PLAYERS THIS FREAKIN' YEAR.....if only we could get our o'line issues straightened out

Beason has gone to 3 Pro Bowls and twice been an All Pro not bad either.

God quit blaming the Oline for Stafford's inability to get the job done. Why are you protecting him? Does he touch you and make you giggle?

Oline hasn't been amazing, but Stafford is why we've lost games this year. I'm not saying bench him, or get rid of him - but he's gotta play better.

His first half numbers have been abyssmal this year, and we've had to play from behind in every game except the first 2

Mike Wallace or Desean Jackson

Victor Cruz and Torrey Smith have made more of an impact deep than both of those guys this year and neither of them have played the entire year.

Victor Cruz - WR - Giants

Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride recently called out Victor Cruz for inconsistency.
Cruz has 381 yards and three touchdowns in his last four games, but the coaches aren't sold yet. "He giveth and he taketh away on almost a play-by-play basis," said Gilbride. Bad routes, fumbles and tipped passes have left Cruz as the clear third receiver, well behind Mario Manningham. Cruz will be a boom-or-bust kind of WR3 play against the Dolphins in Week 8.

LMFAO !!! great call on Victor Cruz , Hughes.

i've said multiple times yesterday during the game thread that he played putrid in my eyes for most of that game........but that offensive line is awful no matter how you wanna slice it. too much pressure is on staff's shoulder's i believe......he HAS NO FUCKING RUNNING GAME no matter what some might be apt to spew concerning the matter, plus the o-line can seemingly no longer pass block for his ass.....

believe or not stafford's STILL A VERY YOUNG QUARTERBACK.......he's barely played a full season when you add together the entirety of his playing time. i wanna see YOU try to play behind what we struggle to call an offensive line, and if YOU TOO wouldn't begin to become lil gun shy.......yes, he's missing at certain points wide fucking open receivers, (which is unforgivable, so i agree there) yes, sometimes he looks sorta disinterested, sure he even sometimes appears scared.....but i'm gonna give him just a hint of leeway and call those growing pains......at least i pray that's the case.

look, matthew stafford is the best quarterback we've had for 50+ fucking years.... that's 54......FUCKING.......YEARS. now that statement only speaks ill of this franchise of ours, but he has ALSO shown the propensity to play at an extremely high level for long stretches of time. (i.e the 5-0 start) i for one am going to give this guy a chance.....but not for long dammit.......it may be only for the next couple of weeks. 2 things he HAS to begin doing though is throwing the rock accurately again and quit missing open receivers......but still, we all must admit that barring injury, stafford has the ability to become an ELITE qb in this league for years to come.... he seemingly possesses all that you need.

Beason is somewhat overrated.. He gets a lot of tackles and is decent in coverage, but I don't think he stands out like a Patrick Willis that is simply all over the place..
