I've read the recap and looked at the stats... really curious about this one. I know bad breaks can keep an otherwise easy win looking closer on paper, but I'm really surprised Osu could only put up 20.

what were Jones' two picks like? bad throws or bad luck?

From what I seen it was bad throws. He over shot a wide open receiver. I didn't watch all the second half but did see the play that put them up 20-10. I guess you could say good defense, but they always seem to catch the breaks. Neither QB looked impressive but I'm sure that was lack of preparation on their part.

caught last 8 minutes

if NIU had better passing, they could have tied it - all the passes i saw missed

i think OSU needs to settle on one qb at the leader

Horrible, horrible coaching from NIU. Couple of times they had the ball around midfield with 4th and 1, and refused to go for it. One time was a net punt of like 20 yards. Played not to lose.

NIU's defense controlled the game. Announcers kept saying how Ohio St. had 4 olineman that would start in the NFL. NIUs Dline were constantly blowing them up and forcing the quarterbacks into rushed throws. Elliot had no room to run, either. Also...it seems as though when you win a National Championship, you need not work on fundamentals anymore. Much like how Alabama looks nowadays.

I thought NIU was looking pretty good from the parts I saw. Their kicking game really sucked though.

Did anyone catch the end of the Cal Texas game? TX O got the late TD only to miss the extra pt. Lost by one point. Kid just pushed it to the right. And the kicker is a jr. No excuse for it.

I turned off the Neb-Miami game just like I turned off the Tenn-Okla game, the week before. I learned my lesson and watched the Ole Miss-Ala game all the way through. Awesome games this week all over.

okay so basically Ohio St. is a lot more vulnerable than every jackass was saying. if they mail it in, they'll lose just like any other team.

I agree on the QB thing. I said before the season that having 3 QBs who could start, and were proven winners was a curse in disguise, and would prove an issue for team chemistry as soon as one of them struggled.

Braxton Miller

But he's not 'Herb's guy'

Who is Herb's guy...?

RUh ROH!

I saw a good amount of the second half. The NIU D was quite stout against OSU, shutting down Elliot for the most part and getting good pressure on the QB. The secondary was pretty good too and was in position to pick off a couple poor throws.

The play that really killed NIU was the pick 6 to put OSU up 20-10.

I didn't see the first 3 quarters. The OSU D looked decent in the 4th. N Ill only had 190 yards of offense. OSU had 5 turnovers. It looks like it was a very sloppy game. My guess is they go back to JT Barrett this week.

LOL, you didn't even watch your own game.

I think you should clear your Saturdays up a little better; the rest of your schedule just got more challenging...

I didn't watch much football this past weekend...I was on a golf trip. Give a choice between golf and watching a football game...golf every time!
