Lol What other shooter would you buy instead of this? F Battlefield. I'll buy the Halo remake and then im done for this year.

You're a typical console player.. Try TF 2, Portal series, Deus Ex, UT, Counter Strike.. All blow Halo and CoD out of the water... CoD series hasn't been good since 4.. Please stop talking about this..

Halo went it comes to console shooters is it. It revolutionized the campaign and the idea of matchmaking multiplayer. Sure some games that have came out afterwards may have been better. But, this is the game that started everything.

You like COD and BF or whatever other shooters, by default you love Halo.

However, Counter-Strike is the best shooter game ever. Too bad its not on console yet (one is in the works)

i just looked up the list and its bullshit for 2 reasons:

1) it was an online vote that only 13k people voted on
2) call of duty AND halo beat out zelda, which is fucking stupid.

the list is a compliaton of dozens of reviews for each game. ocarina of time is 1st. halo is 17th, behind other shooters like the orange box. call of duty doesnt even show up will page 2, and its the original MW.

I'm not that militant about not caring what is said - in fact, I find what you have to say as very helpful. I think it is more the purist attitude, that unless you think the accepted games that show your skill are the best in that genre, you must be dogshit.

I played Halo - and got the latest remake too. I like it, and the other series you mention are also fun for the their own reasons, but there is a reason that 10 million people buy the next CoD game. . . . and it is more than just people are sheep. It has fun gameplay, even if your not going to be the next "super" shooter.

My absolute favorites are RPG's. I played EQ1 for about 7 years and countless others. The purists in that genre have more of a snob attitude than I have ever seen, but since FPS by far have the best eye-to-hand coordination skills needed to play well, I can understand both sides.

BTW - I completely suck at CoD MW 3 or Black Ops, but I play for hours and hours, because what it really boils down to for me is who I get to play with. My neices, nephews, and even my daughter love the game, and I get to play the game with them all the time. That is where it is at for me - at least for now.

I have a number of XBox Live gamertags, but if you want to see just how bad I am, you can join "Galbrick" on a map sometime, and see just how bad a player can be. :*)

If I get a 1.00 kill to death ratio, I am jumping up and down and salivating for the next round, and then once again, I am dead last with about 3 to 10 ratio. What do you expect - I am an old fart. Eye-to-hand aint what it used to be.
