Cleveland has a major problem. They can't play defense and that's not really something that's going to be fixable...unless maybe they fire their coach and get an entirely different philosophy. Lebron is all world but this year looks very different. This isn't just a slow start. They're just not a very good basketball team.

It should probably be noted that Cleveland had a bad defense last year too. Bottom 10 the regular season. Not as bad as they are now, but still pretty damn bad. There were actually a lot of articles written about it wondering whether they could actually step up in the playoffs. We all see how that went.

Cleveland or Boston will win the East. You can pretty much lock that in stone. Lebron has been to like a million straight NBA Finals. This is the NBA not the NHL where upstart lower seeds can make deep runs.

It's been a nice start for sure, but they're also beating up on the scrap pile that is the eastern conference. The 5 teams they just swept on their homestand (Bucks, pacers, Kings, Hawks, Heat) are a combined 23-41. It's awesome that we're finally beating the teams we should beat, but they have a long way to go to prove they are true contenders.

Called it back in November. The regular season didn't quite play out as expected but nevertheless. The NBA playoffs remain as predictable as any in sports.
